About me and my therapy practice
Welcome. I am Sinead, an experienced, Â鶹Դ´-registered integrative psychotherapist offering a confidential and reflective space for adults, couples, and groups: privately and sessionally on behalf of numerous organisations. Whether you (or your client) are navigating relational distress, complex grief, overwhelm or personal life transitions, I can provide an ethical, collaborative framework tailored to individual pace and psychological hopes and needs.
My integrative framework draws upon the knowledge, understanding and skillset of numerous psychotherapeutic approaches. I will provide a comfortable, down to earth, non-judgemental space where you can feel valued and heard. Together, we can explore underlying patterns, dynamics, and influences which no longer serve you. We will develop a range of tools to help you cope with life's challenges. Empowering you to heal, grow and live a more fulfilling life.

Practice description
Specialist Areas
- Grief, Bereavement & Loss: I specialise in grief and how our personalities, attachment styles, and life experiences can influence the way we process and adapt to loss. I have expertise in grief following the death of a baby, child, or adult child (at any stage of life or gestation). I've written resources and blogs for national organisations including the Â鶹Դ´, developed and delivered national training, and facilitated groups for bereaved parents and families. As a bereaved parent, daughter, and friend myself, I bring deep understanding and a respectful, non-judgmental space where your experience is honoured fully. No assumptions, just care, compassion and the wisdom of experience.
- Anxiety, Depression & Self-Worth: If anxiety or low mood are affecting your daily life, we’ll work together to make sense of what's going on beneath the surface. Therapy can help you break free from outdated patterns, reduce self-blame, and feel more in control, resilient, and connected to your calm and authentic self.
- Education, Parenting & Caregiving: With a background in education (ages 2–19), I offer insightful and understanding support to those navigating the challenges of parenting or working with children and teens in today’s world.
- Visual Impairment & Sight Loss: As an RNIB-accredited Sight Loss Counsellor, I provide sensitive support to individuals or families adjusting to visual impairment.
- Couples & Relationship Therapy: Whether you're struggling with communication, trust, or intimacy, I offer a calm, balanced space to reconnect and understand each other more deeply, authentically and meaningfully.
- Student Counsellors: I support student counsellors with personal therapy and skills mentoring; helping you get the most from your training and personal development journey.
I work with neurodiversity and I am committed to inclusivity and equality.
My first session
What to expect: It can feel daunting to reach out for support. So, it is helpful to know what to expect:
When you make a first enquiry, it is helpful to tell me:
- Your name
- Contact details
- A very brief description of what has brought you to therapy. Please note: you do not need to go into detail here. The aim is to help me tailor support to your needs.
You will be offered a free introductory phone call. This takes between 20-30 minutes in length. It allows you to ask any questions you have and to get a feel for me as your therapist.
There is no obligation to continue, but if you would like to we will pop a date and time in the diary for your first session.
Your appointment: will usually be at the same day, and time, each week/fortnight/month allowing you the freedom to plan your dairy as you wish. I reserve some of my sessions to offer flexibility to shift workers. Do let me know if this applies to you.
On the first session: we will go through and sign our working agreement, so you can then relax fully into your sessions knowing how I will care for you and your information.
Your invoice, payment and zoom link (if working online) will be emailed out to you on the morning on your session. Payment is to be made before your session, and cancellations require 24 hours notice.
