About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my profile.

I am a warm and empathetic practitioner offering a confidential, non-judgmental, safe space for adults and children.

I recognise that you are seeking help in this moment; maybe for yourself or perhaps your child. I  know it's not an easy step to make.

As a counsellor, I operate from the belief that a person can find their own ways forward, given the right conditions. I work with your safety in mind always, and want to offer you a sense of this in any work we may undertake together.

You may be seeking counselling for yourself, or you may be a parent of a child who is struggling. In that case, I can offer knowledge and experience in working with many childhood challenges, such as emotion-based school avoidance, loss and bereavement, divorce and separation of parents, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression and more.

I have a special interest in working with anxiety and burnout in adults as well as children and young people. I am also experienced in helping children, young people and their families who have been diagnosed with or are on the pathway to a diagnosis of a neurodiversity, such as autism, ADHD, and AudDHD.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I also help bring awareness to physical sensations to help teach grounding and calming techniques. I may use play and creativity to help people explore their experiences. When working with children, much of the therapy is through play.

Please get in touch if you wish to arrange a free 15-minute online or phone session so that you can see if you feel you could work with me, and for me to determine if I have the right skill set to best support you with the challenges or issues you might be facing.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description

I am a professionally qualified, Integrative Counsellor, and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Â鶹ԭ´´). I am also a qualified teacher.

It matters to me that you feel calm and engaged in our sessions, and so I like to create a feeling of safety and warmth within our shared space, be it in person or online.

I offer sessions in person, in Exeter, Lyme Regis or Online, via Google Meet or Teams, to clients based within the UK.

I hold a Level 3 Safeguarding Children and Young People and I am DBS checked. All sessions with children and young people aged 17 and under will be face-to-face.

As well as working in private practice, I also practice as a school-based counsellor and am therefore up to date with current educational practices.
