About me and my therapy practice

I'm an Integrative counsellor offering a warm, collaborative approach to therapy. I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy and mindfulness- based approaches, and tailor our work together to suit your unique needs.

My practice is trauma-informed and grounded in a holistic understanding of emotional well-being. Through this approach, I support you to explore your self-awareness, recognise patterns that may be holding you back, and build on the supports  you already have. Together we focus on fostering resilience and developing practical tools that promote lasting change. 

Practice description

I value creating a therapeutic space that respects your unique experiences and allows you to feel safe and supported.  Our work together is collaborative, and I aim to walk alongside you as you explore whatever challenges you bring. 

At times therapy can feel painful or uncomfortable, especially when difficult emotions or memories surface, but you wont face those moments alone. I will be there with you, helping you make sense of what arises, and supporting you to move through it at a pace that feels manageable.

My hope is that, even when the work feels challenging, you experience our sessions as a safe and compassionate space where real change and growth can take place.

My first session

Your first session is a gentle introduction to counselling with me, and a chance for us to get a sense of how we might work together. 

During this time we will:

  • Explore whats going on for you right now.
  • Talk about what you hope to gain from counselling.
  • Address any questions you have.
  • The opportunity for you to share any background or experiences that feel important.
  • Agree on how we might move forward together.
The pace is always yours to set , and there is no expectation beyond what feels comfortable for you.
