About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults, offering counselling sessions online and in person. I aim to provide a warm, welcoming, and confidential space where you can talk openly at your own pace, without pressure or judgment.

Whether you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or struggling with relationships, boundaries, or your sense of self, I’m here to listen and support you. My approach is person-centred, based on the belief that you know yourself best. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, helping you spot patterns, consider goals, and find ways to feel more in control.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time. I work with care, professionalism, and flexibility, paying close attention to confidentiality, safety, and boundaries, so you can feel secure as we work together. My aim is to provide supportive, inclusive, and thoughtful counselling, tailored to what works best for you.

Practice description

I offer counselling sessions in person or online, available weekly or fortnightly, each lasting 50 minutes. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term guidance, we’ll work together at a pace that suits you, reviewing your progress regularly to ensure the sessions continue to meet your needs.

We’ll start with a brief 15-minute phone call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’d like to explore in therapy and to see if we feel like a good fit to work together. My aim is to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood.

My first session

In our first session, we’ll take some time to go over important information about how our sessions will work, including confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries. I’ll explain everything clearly, and this is also a chance for you to ask any questions or share any concerns so you feel informed and comfortable.

During this session, I’ll gently ask some questions to get to know you better—about your experiences, what’s been challenging, and what you hope to explore through therapy. While we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, this helps us build a strong foundation for our work together. Understanding what support you’re looking for and any goals you have allows me to tailor our sessions to your needs.

My approach is flexible and non-judgmental, and the first session is above all about creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll begin to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship, giving you the confidence to explore and work towards the changes you want to make.
