About me and my therapy practice
I work in a warm, steady and person centred way, offering a calm space where you can talk openly and at your own pace. Many people come to me when life feels overwhelming, when they feel disconnected from themselves, or when they鈥檙e carrying more than they can name. You don鈥檛 need to have the 鈥渞ight words鈥 or a clear idea of what you want to work on 鈥 we can explore that together.
My role is to listen closely, without judgement or pressure, and help you make sense of what you鈥檙e experiencing. I won鈥檛 tell you what to do or push you in a direction that doesn鈥檛 feel right. Instead, I support you in understanding your feelings, reconnecting with yourself, and finding a way forward that feels more manageable and authentic.
I work gently and at your pace. Some people come wanting to explore a specific issue, while others come because something simply doesn鈥檛 feel right. You鈥檙e welcome either way. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to slow down, speak freely, and begin to feel more grounded and understood.
I offer both online sessions across the UK and in person sessions in Paisley.
Practice description
My practice is built around offering a calm, warm and steady space for adults who feel overwhelmed, lost, or unsure of who they are right now. Many of the people I work with are experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, or a deep sense of disconnection. Some feel like they鈥檝e 鈥渓ost themselves鈥 or are carrying emotions they don鈥檛 fully understand. You don鈥檛 need to have previous experience of counselling.
In our sessions, you can speak freely and take things at your own pace. I listen closely and without judgement, helping you explore what鈥檚 happening in your life and how it鈥檚 affecting you. My aim is to help you feel supported, understood, and less alone with what you鈥檙e carrying.
Counselling with me isn鈥檛 about quick fixes or being told what to do. It鈥檚 about creating a space where you can reconnect with yourself, understand your feelings more clearly, and begin to find a path forward that feels steadier and more possible. I work in a way that is warm, grounded and respectful, and I welcome people of all identities and backgrounds.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can be weekly or fortnightly. I offer online sessions UK wide and in person sessions in Paisley.
My first session
The first session is a gentle introduction. It鈥檚 a chance for us to meet, talk about what brings you to counselling, and get a sense of how it feels to work together. You don鈥檛 need to prepare anything or know exactly what you want to say 鈥 many people arrive unsure, and that鈥檚 completely okay.
I won鈥檛 ask you to complete any formal assessments. Instead, we鈥檒l explore what you鈥檙e experiencing, what you might need from counselling, and what feels most important for you right now. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
This session also gives you space to ask questions, get a feel for my approach, and decide whether it feels like a good fit. There鈥檚 no pressure to continue if it doesn鈥檛 feel right for you.
