I am currently available for face-to-face, Fridays 9am-5pm and I offer online sessions and walk and talk therapy on Tuesday-Thursday 12-4:30 pm. 

I offer face-to-face sessions from a comfortabletable therapy practice in central Canterbury, Kent. Walk and Talk therapy is also held in Canterbury or Whitstable. 

About me and my therapy practice

With a passion for fostering mental well-being, I am a down to earth and dedicated integrative counsellor specialising in person-centred therapy. I draw on a wealth of experience gained through years of working within the NHS and providing low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, panic disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

My approach is friendly, rooted in empathy and understanding, creating a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. By combining various therapeutic techniques tailored to your needs, I aim to empower you to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth.

I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, in my 40s. Receiving my diagnosis helped me make sense of experiences I had carried for years, and it strongly informs the way I work today. I offer a supportive, understanding space for anyone who believes they may have ADHD, is considering assessment, or is living with an ADHD diagnosis. I understand how complex and emotional this journey can be, and I work alongside clients with warmth, curiosity, and respect to help them build self-compassion, clarity, and practical support.

I believe that every person has the potential to overcome their struggles and lead a fulfilling life. Whether you are seeking to address specific mental health concerns or simply looking for a supportive space to talk, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey to healing. 

Practice description

I like to offer my clients the space and time they need to explore their thoughts and feelings, whilst I ask questions and we slowly get to know each other. Together we start to understand deeper patterns and thought processes that may have been hidden beneath the surface and as trust and understanding build we start to explore new ways of thinking and processing emotions. Sometimes I may offer more practical techniques such as grounding exercises and challenging negative self-beliefs, and at other times I will simply be with you whilst you experience whatever you need to experience, guiding you through the process of recognising and feeling your emotions in a safe environment.   

My first session

I offer an initial free 30 minute phone/video call which I tell you a little bit about counselling and what you can expect, and I find out more about you and your needs. There is no obligation to proceed with sessions after this call, you have to find the right person for you and it is essential that I ensure I have the right training for your particular requirements.

If we decide to proceed with counselling after this phone call we will discuss the time and place for sessions and I will send you some further information. Our first session will be spent understanding in more detail what has brought you to counselling and your aims, as well as answering any questions you may have.
