About me and my therapy practice
You may be considering counselling because you are feeling overwhelmed by your feelings or you may have experienced life events that you are finding difficult to manage. My priority is to build a safe and trusting relationship, to listen to you, and to provide you with the space to explore what is going on for you, without judgement.
As an integrative counsellor, I use knowledge of different counselling theories and strategies to support you to understand yourself better and reach your goals in therapy. As everyone is unique, your counselling experience needs to be unique to meet your personal needs, and I also believe that you don’t have to have be at breaking point to begin a journey with therapy.
Sessions with me are led at your pace with your own needs being my priority. I will offer space for reflection and some challenge to look closely at what is impacting the way you feel.
I specialise in loss, including grief, loss of sense of self, relationships, transitions and other losses. I have experience working in charities supporting those who have experienced bereavement, trauma, abuse, women’s issues and uncertainty in their sense of self.
I can offer counselling beyond simply talking, so we may use resources within sessions to help you to understand your experience from a different perspective or once we have met and know each other, we could walk and talk if that is preferable. I also have a long history of working with neurodivergent people, with a particular specialism in autism.
If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact me and we can have a 15 minute conversation to discuss your needs and find out whether we would be a good fit to work together. This is free of charge.
Feel free to browse my linked facebook page to learn a bit more about me.
Booked counselling sessions last 50 minutes per session at £50 per session and can be booked week by week (or fortnightly) or can be block booked for ease and with a reduced cost of £265

My first session
It’s really important that you find a counsellor who is the right fit for you, which is why I offer an initial 15 minute calls that we can book, and this is free of charge.
If we are both happy that we are the right fit for each other, we would then book an initial 50-minute session, when we would get to know each other better, and you can talk more about what brings you to counselling and what you want to get out of counselling. We would also complete a contract so that you know what to expect from me.
