About me and my therapy practice

At the core of my practice is the therapeutic alliance, cultivating  healing and clarity through relational therapy with care and intention. I provide a containing space to work in and through your unique process, integrating a range of psychotherapeutic approaches.

At times it can feel as though we are isolated or misunderstood, in dread or despair, overwhelmed or stuck. In my view therapy is a safe space to come up for air, and at the same time to dive deeper into ourselves: to heal or transform what no longer serves us and to nurture and empower ourselves from a place of depth and understanding. 

In my practice I see my role and purpose as to facilitate contact with your own inner healing wisdom, with a genuine and compassionate understanding of just how difficult things can get along the way.

Integrative approach

Integrative therapy is the coming together of multiple therapeutic approaches adapted and combined in a way that best serves you as a unique human being. I am trained theoretically and therapeutically in Psychodynamic, Existential, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Attachment and Gestalt approaches among others, always working from a Person-Centred base in my practice. 

My practice leans into immediacy with a focus on what arises in the present moment, whilst honouring and working toward your goals, cultivating clarity and self-compassion over time. This is supported by an empathetic inquiry into where difficulties may have arisen from in your past. Particular interests include supporting clients through self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, existential difficulties and religion/spirituality. 

Relational therapy

Working relationally means I place value on the rapport and human connection between the two of us a therapeutic alliance. Humour, empathy and differences of opinion are all welcome with an open heart and mind as part of the therapeutic process. I am here to be alongside you attentively and compassionately, always with your best interests in mind.

I offer a free 15-20 minute introductory consultation as a gentle way to explore your goals and working together, and to answer any questions or concerns you may have. During the consultation we will discuss options for a first session together should you feel ready to do so.

My first session

Free 20 minute initial consultation 

Contact me to request an initial free 15-20 minute video consultation. This is a gentle opportunity for us to connect and discuss working together. There's no need to prepare in advance, or any obligation to share less/more than you feel comfortable ahead of or during the session.

First session

The first 50 minute session will be gently structured around an assessment. This gives us the opportunity to land into the space, better understand any difficulties you might be experiencing, and explore your current intentions and goals for therapy. 

Sessions thereafter

50 minutes sessions are held weekly. Longer sessions are also an option (subject to availability), and we may collaboratively agree to amend frequency or duration after a period of working together.
