Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and offer both daytime and evening appointments to suit a range of schedules. I work Monday to Friday, with sessions typically available between 9am and 8pm. Please get in touch to discuss specific days and times — I’ll do my best to find a slot that works for you.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and can be held in-person at comfortable therapy rooms in Cheltenham, Gloucester, or Cirencester. I also offer online sessions for clients across the UK, providing a flexible option for those who prefer remote therapy or face barriers to attending in person.
If I plan to take any extended time off, I’ll always give advance notice so we can plan accordingly and maintain continuity of care.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Chris, and I’m an integratively trained counsellor and therapist. This means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual I’m working with. I support clients aged 13 and above, offering a compassionate and inclusive space for self-exploration and growth.
I’m passionate about diversity, inclusion, and equal access to mental health support. I believe that counselling should be available to everyone, and I strive to make my practice welcoming and accessible to all.
Sessions are available in calm, comfortable therapy rooms in Cheltenham, Gloucester, and Cirencester, as well as online for clients across the UK.
With a strong background in the helping professions, I bring a wealth of experience to my work. At the heart of my approach is a genuine commitment to creating a safe, accepting environment. I believe that trust and understanding within the therapeutic relationship can offer the foundation for healing, self-discovery, and meaningful personal change.
Practice description
Through a foundation of trust, understanding, and genuine care, I support each client in exploring their feelings and making meaningful connections that can lead to lasting personal change. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful catalyst for growth, and I work to create a safe, accepting space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, tailoring sessions to meet each person’s unique needs. This flexibility allows me to help clients gently unpack painful experiences and past memories at a pace that feels right for them.
I work with individuals aged 13 and over and am deeply committed to making therapy accessible and inclusive for all. I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I am particularly experienced in working with adult and adolescent survivors of childhood sexual abuse, offering a compassionate and non-judgmental space to process complex trauma safely and at the client’s own pace.
Therapy sessions are available in welcoming, peaceful rooms located in Cheltenham, Gloucester, and Cirencester. I also offer online sessions for clients across the UK, making support more accessible for those who prefer remote therapy or face barriers to attending in person.
To ensure I’m providing the highest standard of care, I actively engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice. I also collaborate with other professionals where appropriate, always with my clients’ well-being at the centre of what I do.
My first session
I offer a free initial phone consultation to help you decide if I’m the right counsellor for you. This is a chance for us to connect, and for me to understand what has brought you to seek counselling at this time.
During this conversation, I’ll ask some gentle questions about your current concerns, any symptoms or struggles you may be experiencing, and a little about your background. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable — there is no pressure, and everything we discuss is led by you.
We may also talk briefly about your relationships, interests, strengths, and any goals you might have for therapy. This helps me begin to get a sense of what support might be most helpful for you.
The consultation also gives you space to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process, how I work, or what to expect going forward. If we both feel that working together is a good fit, we can then arrange your first full session.
My aim is to offer a calm, respectful, and open environment from the very first contact — one where you feel safe, listened to, and supported.
