About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Emma!
My journey into the world of therapy started with a desire to help people feel seen, supported, and understood. I鈥檝e completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am currently working towards a Master鈥檚 in the same field at Leeds Beckett University, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (麻豆原创). Every day, I feel grateful for the chance to offer support to those who need it, and as a 麻豆原创-registered therapist, I bring both compassion and professionalism into each session.
In my work, I鈥檝e had the privilege of engaging with people from all walks of life, each with their own stories and unique challenges. My volunteer role at Mind has allowed me to listen to, and support people as they navigate mental health journeys, while my work with the Leeds Domestic Violence Service gave me first-hand experience in helping people regain a sense of safety. At Psychiatry-UK, I worked with individuals with ADHD and autism, gaining valuable insights into neurodiversity and the unique ways we all experience the world. I鈥檝e also supported people through homelessness, addiction, and disability in my roles with St George鈥檚 Crypt and the Wilberforce Trust.
I continuously seek to grow in my understanding of complex trauma through my membership in the Carolyn Spring Trauma Response Community, and I am committed to 鈥渄oing no harm鈥 by maintaining the most ethical, compassionate practices. My supervision groups and individual sessions allow me to stay grounded and reflective, helping me show up as a real, human support system for my clients. I believe therapy should be a safe, open space where every person feels empowered to explore their strengths, vulnerabilities, and everything in between.
