About me and my therapy practice

I provide online short- and long-term therapy, with in-person sessions coming soon near NW3/NW6/NW8. My approach is integrative, drawing on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Existential, Gestalt, and CBT principles. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship—built on trust, respect, and honesty. Therapy is a collaborative process where sessions are client-led, allowing us to explore patterns, make links, and work toward insight, coping strategies, and personal growth.

I aim to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where clients of all genders, sexualities, and cultural backgrounds feel acknowledged and supported. Therapy can help address emotional, mental, and behavioural challenges, providing both short-term relief and long-term growth. My work focuses on increasing self-awareness, confidence, and resilience, while supporting clients to make choices aligned with their values.

Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years in leadership roles in commercial and HR sectors, supporting diverse teams to thrive professionally and personally, while raising a family. This experience informs my understanding of life’s challenges, transitions, and pressures. I am also continuing my professional development, including specialist training in working with couples.

Practice description

Therapy can feel like a significant personal and financial commitment, and I aim to be transparent and respectful around fees. Each 50-minute session is charged at £80, with payment made in advance. I provide a warm, structured, and supportive environment where clients can explore difficulties safely, feeling heard and understood.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, grief, or challenges linked to life transitions. My integrative training equips me to tailor therapy to your needs. Sessions are collaborative and client-led, combining exploration of patterns and experiences with practical tools to support day-to-day coping.

I value equality, diversity, and inclusivity, and strive to create an environment where everyone feels respected and able to explore their thoughts and feelings openly. My role is to help you make sense of experiences, build insight, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and wellbeing. Therapy is not about quick solutions but about supporting you in a safe, reflective, and empowering way.

My first session

The first session is designed to feel different from subsequent sessions. Its aim is to get to know you, your background, and your reasons for seeking therapy. We will explore what you hope to gain from therapy, and I will explain a bit about myself, my training, and my approach. This session is also an opportunity to go through our working contract, which I will share in advance so you have time to read and reflect.

You can use this session to ask any questions about therapy, the process, or practical arrangements. I want you to feel safe, respected, and able to speak openly from the very start. The session is client-led but gently guided, giving space to share your experiences and helping me understand how best to support you.

Overall, the first session is about establishing a foundation of trust, understanding, and openness. It sets the tone for therapy, ensuring you feel heard, acknowledged, and supported as we begin working together toward insight, coping, and meaningful change.
