About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Steffi, a Â鶹Դ´ Accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where you can slow down, feel truly heard, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface.
I believe we all make sense of ourselves through relationships, and that the therapeutic relationship can become a place where new understanding, healing and change begin to emerge. My aim isn't to tell you what to do or offer quick fixes, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, honesty and care as we explore your experiences together.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. If you'd like to find out more or see whether we might be a good fit, you're welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
Practice description
I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs rather than following a single model. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so our work together will be shaped around you, your experiences, and what feels most helpful.
At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. My aim is to create a space where you can bring all parts of yourself, even those that feel difficult, confusing or hard to put into words.
I'm naturally curious about what lies beneath the surface. Together we might explore not only what is happening in your life now, but also the patterns, relationships and experiences that have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others. As understanding deepens, new possibilities often begin to emerge.
Alongside offering empathy and acceptance, I will gently notice patterns, ask thoughtful questions and, where appropriate, offer compassionate challenge. I won't tell you what to do or pretend to have all the answers, but I will walk alongside you as we make sense of your experiences together. My hope is that therapy helps you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, greater self-compassion, and the confidence to make choices that feel more authentic to who you are.
My first session
Before arranging a first session, I offer a free introductory video call. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions, tell me a little about what's bringing you to therapy, and get a sense of whether I feel like the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
Our first counselling session is slightly different from ongoing sessions, as it includes an assessment. This isn't a test, and there are no right or wrong answers. Instead, it's an opportunity for me to begin building a picture of your world, understand what has brought you to therapy, explore what you're hoping to gain from our work together, and consider how I can best support you.
From there, future sessions become a collaborative space to explore whatever feels most important to you at a pace that feels right.
