Availability
I offer online therapy services with sessions during the evenings and weekends. I would welcome you checking in for my current availability, and I will do my best to accommodate what works well for you.
At the beginning of our journey I offer a free no-obligation 30-minute discovery phone call, Facetime, Whatsapp or Zoom. Here we will explore what has brought you to me, what you hope to achieve, and how my approach can be adapted to make you feel comfortable.
You will leave the call with practical information such as session times, frequency, and fees so you can make an informed decision about our partnership going forwards.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi there, my name is Kathryn - welcome to my profile.
I am an integrative therapist specialising in supporting children and adults online - especially those with additional needs, offering a neuro-affirming and inclusive space which celebrates difference, exploration, and questioning.
Whether you are facing life challenges, common mental health conditions (such as anxiety or depression), past trauma including PTSD, work difficulties, or maybe you are considering your own neurodivergence (for example: ADHD or Autism) - I can offer a non-judgemental person-centred space where these areas can be explored safely through connection, care, and when appropriate - humour.
We can talk, visualise, use music, and be more creative if this helps you feel more comfortable - the therapy space is for you, and needs to meet your needs - everything is tailored to your personal progress as you are the most important person in the room.
Something I do offer is lived experience of neurodiversity, which I am willing to share if this would be of benefit to your development - it is an offer.
Entering a collaborative therapeutic journey, we would be working together, connecting you to an environment where you can feel safe to express how you are feeling in a non-judgemental space.
Life can be pretty hard and facing challenges on your own at times may seem impossible, which is where I come in, as we will face them together.
The first step in seeking support is always the hardest part, and this is why I offer a 30-minute free consultation - no pressure - just an exploration to see if we can work together - and more importantly, if you like my approach
Practice description
I am deeply passionate about therapy, reaching individuals far and wide through online practice, as well as promoting the use of 'glimmers' through platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn - by all means check me out @kathrynwebbtherapy.
I offer a more inclusive creative approach, and through our initial discussions together we may lean more into journal work, using creative materials, movement breaks if you need them, visuals - and with one client previously - song!
Or we may stay seated, talking and reflecting - the choice and space is yours entirely.
We are all unique, and our work together will be adapted to what makes you feel safe, able to unmask, and to be heard.
What I have found is that online counselling provides flexibility and accessibility, making it ideal if location or personal circumstances prevent in-person sessions.
Zoom enables you to connect with me from your home, workplace, or anywhere else in the country - allowing for your animals to be nearby for support if you have them, for you to wear clothes that allow you to be comfortable, and for your personal items to be on hand for sensory needs if you wish for them.
Accessibility: I also offer home visits within a 5 mile radius of Ongar, in Essex - please contact me to discuss this further.
My first session
I totally understand that starting a therapeutic journey can feel pretty scary - even more so if you have spent time coping, managing, and keeping your difficulties to yourself - or if you have had a negative experience with therapy before.
In our first session you are welcome to arrive as you - just you - with no pressure to open up and share anything before you feel absolutely safe to do so.
We can talk about your previous counselling experiences, if you have had any - were they good, bad or even ugly?
We need to know what makes you feel comfortable and how I can provide this bespoke space for you - this is so we can begin creating a therapeutic relationship which will help you grow in the direction you want to thrive in.
We all have a right to thrive - so let's go claim yours together.
