About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in working with grief and loss. Bereavement counselling offers a space that is entirely yours, where you can feel whatever arises without judgement or pressure. Grief can be strange, unpredictable and often quite frightening, and trying to make sense of it alone, or with those close to you, can feel especially hard.
Being with someone who can stay alongside you as you experience it all helps grief to feel more approachable. Together, we can gently witness and hold your experiences to allow the intensity of grief to soften over time. This process helps your grief to become something you gradually integrate into your life in a way that is meaningful for you.
Practice description
I aim to provide a sense of companionship as you explore your grief. From my personal and professional experiences, I know that grief needs to be held and witnessed so that you can find a way to form a relationship with this part of you.
As well as building a relationship with your grief and finding ways to help you feel soothed, bereavement counselling also involves exploring who you are now. When someone dies, the whole world feels different and it can take time to catch up with that. As we talk, we will learn about how you feel in this new world, what you need, what you value and what you want.
My first session
Some people like to ease in gently, getting comfortable before opening up, while others prefer to dive straight in. Either way is completely fine. We'll simply talk, or not talk, at whatever pace feels right for you.
Throughout our work together, you'll never be asked to share more than you want to. My approach can be content-free, meaning we can work meaningfully with your feelings and experiences without you needing to revisit painful details if you'd rather not. Healing doesn't always require excavating the past.
I am here to meet you exactly as you are.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you aware that something isn't right, but every attempt to change feels overwhelming, unclear or out of reach? If it's time to try something new, I invite you to work with me exactly as you are. Within our warm and genuine relationship we will heal the roots of your pain and discover a path forward that resonates with who you truly are.
I have seen that change is possible for everyone. When you are met with compassion and curiosity, and as you learn to meet yourself in this way too, old patterns shift and life becomes easier to navigate.
When I accessed counselling I found it daunting and overwhelming, so I know it takes time to feel ready. Taking the first step to look online is great, next you can reach out for a free consultation to see if I am someone you'd like to talk to. When you are ready, I am here.
Practice description
I integrate Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). This allows every session to be specifically tailored to your needs.
Person-Centred Counselling is non-directive, meaning I will follow your lead, listening empathically to reflect your deeper emotions. This supports you to connect with your authentic self and release internalised beliefs.
CBT is more directive and involves tasks and worksheets that challenge your thinking patterns. While person-centred counselling follows your emotions, CBT follows your thoughts. We will work collaboratively to unpack your experiences and develop new ways of being.
IFS involves looking at all the parts that make up who you are and how you experience the world. We connect with your parts from a place grounded in compassion in order to understand their role and heal their pain. IFS supports all of your parts to work together, creating a sense of inner peace and confidence.
My first session
There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive, some people like to ease in gently, getting comfortable before opening up, while others prefer to dive straight in. Either way is completely fine.
You won't be handed a questionnaire or put through a battery of assessments. We'll simply talk, or not talk, at whatever pace feels right for you.
Throughout our work together, you'll never be asked to share more than you want to.
