About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Emma and I am an integrative Child and Adolescent Therapist working with children and young people in schools, charities and in private practice.

All of us can benefit from a safe, confidential space in which to explore our emotions, thoughts and experiences - this is true of children and young people as well as adults!

I build warm, trusting relationships with the young people I work and use creative approaches including play and the use of art, alongside talking therapy. I am always led by the specific needs of each individual young person.

I know that as a parent, supporting your child or young person with their emotional difficulties isn't always easy! And finding the right therapist is part of that. I would always encourage a (free) chat over the phone to help you consider whether I would be the right fit for your young person.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Emma and I am a counsellor working with children and young people in schools,  charities and in private practice.

Counselling can provide a safe, confidential space for your child or young person to explore their emotions, thoughts and experiences. My aim is to build a counselling relationship where your child feels safe and understood so that they can begin to make sense of their feelings and of what is going on for them, both internally and externally.

I am trained in an integrative counselling approach, which means I can draw on various theories including person-centered, psychodynamic and relational. I often use play therapy and creative work alongside talking therapy, adapting my approach to suit the needs of each child or young person.
