About me and my therapy practice
My approach to therapy consists of integrating theories to offer a unique approach to each client and couple. I offer a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to bring whatever they wish. I am influenced by unconscious, attachment and trauma theories, specifically working humanistically and relationally. The goal is to work through relational patterns and past traumas.
Practice description
Hi! I’m Abi, and I am a Relational Integrative Therapist. Therapy offers us a space to explore current processes and how they may be linked to the past. Having someone stand beside you whilst working through what needs to be tended to. Our mental well-being can have a huge effect on our lives, whether that's in our work, in our relationships, or just our general sense of self. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-worth, attachment issues, or other trauma-related difficulties, I am here for you.
My practice is a cosy garden office, located in NG5 Nottingham. Here, we can explore and process all parts of who you are and what is hurting you, perhaps gaining a better understanding of yourself and how you want to move forward. Sometimes life can be hard, and it is my wish to be here for you when it is, tackling the bad whilst working on feeling the good.
I am an integrative therapist, which means I utilise a combination of therapeutic approaches, tailoring to my client’s unique life experience. I work from a Humanistic Integrative perspectice. My focus is on relational patterns, unconscious processes, attachment theory and Transactional Analysis.
Couples Therapy
I work with couples using a developmental approach, which helps partners understand their patterns and the links to their past, communicate more openly, and grow together through challenges. I offer a supportive space where both of you can feel heard and understood. My aim is to help you strengthen your connection, navigate conflict with compassion, and create a relationship that feels secure, authentic, and alive.
My first session
Choosing a therapist and reaching out can be a frightening process. Stepping into the unknown requires courage, and sometimes comes at the hardest times. I hope to build trust and safety from the moment clients reach out. I offer a 15-minute complimentary call so that you can decide if you feel we would be a good fit together.
