About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified, Â鶹ԭ´´ registered, Integrative Counsellor in three different approaches: Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Being an integrative therapist means that I can draw on these approaches and skills in our work together in a way that feels right for you.

Counselling is not a quick fix, but I passionately believe in the transformative power that it can offer. Having started counselling training with the intention to understand my own personal mental health struggles, I believe that everyone has the capacity to help themselves and make positive changes which helps them to have a more balanced life, if they are willing to put the work in.

I have experience supporting people with depression, autism, ADHD, anxiety and transitional issues arising from life changes – divorce, redundancy, ageing, menopause, relocation, parenthood, as well as understanding the impact of past trauma.

Practice description

I offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can unravel what the main issues are and be supported in finding a way forward. As an integrative practitioner, I draw from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches to help you understand your situation. Working with these different approaches to counselling helps us look at your issues through different lenses depending on what you want to focus on and what makes more sense to you. It is your decision whether you want to explore the possible root of the problem or to focus on the here and now.

My first session

The first session will be an opportunity to get to know you and understand the issues you are dealing with. The first session tends to be about information gathering and about you giving as much background and detail around your issues. While the first session can seem daunting, it can also be a cathartic experience. Sharing your deepest worries and experiences within an empathetic, non-judgemental listener in a confidential and safe space can be very helpful in itself.
