About me and my therapy practice
Hi
I'm Rebecca, a qualified integrative therapist, registered with the Â鶹Դ´.
I believe a key strength of my work as a therapist is the trusting relationship I build with clients. I offer a safe, warm and non-judgemental space where you are welcome to bring all aspects of your self. You may be sharing your most uncomfortable feelings and difficult experiences, but I will also see and appreciate the humour, creativity and resilience you bring.
I work with a wide age range of clients from 18 to 60+. As well as my qualifications and theoretical approach I bring much life experience. I have a keen awareness of the complexity and challenges we share as humans, as well as what makes each of us unique.
You may be coming to therapy now because you feel anxious, depressed or stuck in patterns of behaviour that you'd like to change. Although your story is unique, there are themes we can use to explore it, to bring new insight and potential for change. An integrative approach means I combine approaches to find what works best for you.
In our work we may consider:
- How unresolved issues from the past may be showing up in the present
- How your relationships in the present may be impacted by earlier attachment experience
- How fear of uncertainty and failure may be keeping you stuck
- How you are impacted by internal and external expectations
- How familiar coping mechanisms may no longer working for you
Some people are looking for a space to talk and think aloud, others want much more of a two way dialogue. There is no right or wrong and we will work with what is most effective for you.
Practice description
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, bringing together psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. I have experience working with a wide range of clients and presentations.
I offer both open ended and short term individual therapy. Sessions are available online via Zoom or face to face from therapy rooms in London E1.
Sessions are available weekdays, daytime and evening. Please email for more details.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me, I offer a free initial 20 minute Zoom consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have before making a decision to go ahead and for me its an opportunity to find out more about your aims and expectations for the work.
If you decide to go ahead, session are 50 minutes on a weekly basis (fortnightly by agreement). In the first session my priority will be to get to know you and find out more about your personal history and the issues which have brought you to counselling. We will go through a short assessment process together which helps me understand more about how the issues you are bringing are impacting you day to day.
