About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I鈥檓 a humanistic integrative counsellor based in Dorset, offering online and telephone counselling for adults across the UK.

I provide a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard without judgement.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how things have reached this point. You don鈥檛 need to have everything figured out before you begin. I will meet you where you are and work at your pace, helping you explore what鈥檚 going on and what you need. Many of the people I work with are experiencing anxiety, stress, or burnout, or are going through a period of change in their lives.

I aim to build a trusting connection where you feel safe, understood, and able to be yourself. I鈥檓 known for being calm, kind, and gently insightful, and I will work alongside you in a way that feels supportive and grounded, helping you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Practice description

My practice offers a calm, confidential space where you can step away from day-to-day pressures and focus on yourself.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you鈥檙e used to managing things on your own. I aim to make the process feel as comfortable and straightforward as possible, from our first contact through to our ongoing work together.

As an integrative counsellor, I adapt how I work to suit you as an individual. There is no pressure to have the 鈥渞ight words鈥 or to know exactly what to say鈥攜ou are welcome to bring whatever feels important. Some sessions may feel more reflective, while others focus on what鈥檚 happening for you in the present.

I offer online and telephone counselling across the UK, providing a consistent and supportive space where you can make sense of your thoughts and emotions, explore patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, and burnout, as well as those going through life transitions or facing relationship difficulties. This can include:

-Life transitions and change

-Stress, burnout, and overwhelm

-Anxiety and low mood

-Bereavement and experiences of loss

-Relationship difficulties with partners, family members, or others in your life

-Self-esteem, identity, and body image

I have a particular interest in supporting people through life transitions where roles and identity may be shifting, including pregnancy, postnatal adjustment, becoming a parent, and parental or work-related burnout.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. 

You don鈥檛 need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin wherever you are and take things at a pace that feels right for you.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet, talk, and begin to explore what has brought you to therapy, as well as whether working together feels right for you.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so there is no pressure to share everything straight away. I may ask some gentle questions about your current situation, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and any relevant background. You鈥檙e also welcome to ask me any questions about how I work.

Sessions are 50 minutes and can take place online or by telephone across the UK.

The first session is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions. There is no obligation to continue, what matters most is that it feels like the right fit for you.

My standard fee is 拢45 per session. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for counselling trainees. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss availability.
