About me and my therapy practice

If you鈥檙e here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck, or unsure where to begin. You may feel like you鈥檙e keeping things going on the outside while struggling underneath, or finding it hard to switch off. It鈥檚 okay if things feel unclear right now.

I鈥檓 a humanistic integrative counsellor based in Blandford, Dorset, offering online and telephone counselling for adults in the UK and, where appropriate, for some clients based internationally. My practice is based in the UK and guided by the 麻豆原创 Ethical Framework.

I provide a calm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and begin to make sense of what you鈥檙e going through at your own pace.

I often support people who are experiencing anxiety, overthinking, or going through a period of change. This might relate to work, relationships, identity, or life transitions such as becoming a parent.

Sessions are a space where you can talk openly about whatever feels important to you. There鈥檚 no pressure to have the 鈥渞ight words鈥 or to know exactly what to say.

At the heart of my work is building a trusting relationship where you feel safe, understood, and able to be yourself. I鈥檒l work alongside you in a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental way, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings and gently make sense of what鈥檚 going on for you.

Practice description

Therapy offers a space to step back from the demands of everyday life and spend some time focusing on yourself, something that isn鈥檛 always easy to prioritise.

I aim to make the process feel steady and approachable, whether you鈥檙e new to therapy or returning to it. You don鈥檛 need to have the 鈥渞ight words鈥 or a clear starting point.

As an integrative counsellor, I adapt how I work to suit you. Some sessions may be more reflective, helping you explore patterns or past experiences, while others focus on what feels most present for you right now.

I work with people who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating change, including anxiety, stress, burnout, and relationship difficulties. I also support people experiencing loss in a broad sense, whether that鈥檚 bereavement or the loss of a role, identity, or expectation in life.

I have a particular interest in supporting life transitions, especially where identity or roles are shifting, such as becoming a parent, perinatal and postnatal experiences, or balancing work and family life.

At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. I see therapy as a collaborative process where you can feel supported, understood, and able to explore things in a way that feels safe for you.

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online or by telephone, offering flexibility around your day-to-day commitments. Online counselling is considered on an individual basis to ensure it feels appropriate and supportive for your circumstances.

Whether you鈥檙e feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of space to think, therapy can offer a place to pause, reflect, and begin making sense of things at your own pace.

You don鈥檛 need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can take things at a pace that feels manageable and find a way of working that feels right for you.

My first session

Before beginning therapy, we will discuss whether online counselling feels appropriate and supportive for your circumstances and location.

The first session is a chance for us to meet and begin to get a sense of one another. We can explore what鈥檚 brought you to therapy, what you might need, and whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so there鈥檚 no expectation to share everything straight away. We can take things at a pace that feels comfortable. I may ask some gentle questions about your current situation, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and any relevant background, and you鈥檙e always welcome to ask me questions too.

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online or by telephone. My practice is based in the UK and guided by the 麻豆原创 Ethical Framework.

The first session is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions, but there鈥檚 no obligation to continue. What matters most is that you feel it鈥檚 the right space for you.

My standard fee is 拢45 per session. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for counselling trainees, and you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch to discuss current availability.

If you鈥檙e unsure about starting therapy, it鈥檚 completely okay to take your time. We can begin with a conversation and see how it feels.
