Availability
I offer online, telephone, and in-person sessions in Croydon (CR0) on weekdays. Sessions can be scheduled weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels supportive for you.
I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call to help you get a sense of whether we might be a good fit.
I occasionally take planned time off for holidays, training, or personal development, and I update my calendar regularly to keep clients informed. If your preferred time isn’t immediately available, I encourage you to reach out as waiting lists can be short and appointments often open up.
My aim is to be flexible and transparent while maintaining a sustainable practice. If you have any questions about session times, formats, or scheduling, you’re very welcome to contact me, and I’ll do my best to find a time that works for you.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Valli (she/her), I’m a therapist and counsellor supporting adults who don’t fit the usual mould.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and person-centred. I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels possible for you, paying close attention to emotional and bodily steadiness so that exploration feels supportive rather than overwhelming.
I offer a space where you do not have to shrink, justify yourself, or educate me in order to be understood. Therapy with me is gentle, honest, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgement. I am not here to fix you or push you into a model that does not fit, but to be alongside you as we make sense of patterns, experiences, and relationships, and support the development of greater clarity, choice, and self-trust.
I work best with people who want to engage reflectively and relationally, rather than seeking advice, quick solutions, or a rigid therapeutic framework. My practice is informed by ongoing clinical supervision, personal therapy, and continuing professional development, which support my ethical and reflective work.
Practice description
I work with adults who do not fit the usual mould, including people navigating anxiety, burnout, neurodivergence, identity and cultural questions, and complex relationships. Many of the people I support are neurodivergent, people of colour, queer, and people exploring non-monogamous relationship structures, kink-positive connections, or alternative ways of living and loving.
I offer kink and non-monogamy affirming therapy, alongside work that is queer-affirming, neurodivergence-affirming, and culturally attuned. I have particular experience supporting ADHD and autistic adults, many of whom have spent years masking, people-pleasing, or adapting to environments that were not built with them in mind. Anxiety, depression, and burnout often make sense within this wider social and relational context.
I hold a Diploma in Person-Centred Therapeutic Counselling and am currently undertaking the Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS).
I also have experience working with Mind UK, where I provided short-term counselling for adults within a structured service.
I offer online, telephone, and in-person sessions in Croydon (CR0). Sessions are £60 for 50 minutes and usually take place weekly or fortnightly. I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call to help you decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
My first session
Your first session is a chance to get a sense of what it might be like to work together and to share what’s bringing you to therapy. I offer a calm, relational space where you can speak openly at a pace that feels possible for you.
I will ask gentle questions to understand what matters most to you and what you would like support with. There is no expectation to have everything figured out, and you do not need to share more than feels comfortable.
I will explain how I work and we can talk through practical details such as session frequency, boundaries, and online or in-person options. You are welcome to ask questions at any point.
The first session is also a chance to reflect on fit. Therapy works best when you feel heard and able to work collaboratively. If it does not feel like the right fit, I can help you think about other options or next steps.
