Availability
I am available for new clients and can be flexible with times of the sessions. If you have a specific time, I will try and be as accommodating as possible. This could be weekly or fortnightly sessions, whichever suits you best.
For those with changing work-times, we can try and arrange a flexible schedule that suits you and will fit in with with us both.
For the initial consultation, I can be fairly flexible Monday to Friday.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Annie.
I'm a counsellor who works using the Person-Centred Approach. This means I focus on you - your experiences, your emotions, and your goals. My role is to support you in exploring what is going on for you, helping you make sense of things, and moving towards the future you want.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable and can make you feel anxious. It often means you're going through something difficult - and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s easier to open up to someone outside of your daily life, someone who can really listen without judgement. I’m here to be that person for you - a safe, supportive space to explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences.
What I will offer:
This space is for you - where you can be open about your feelings and speak honestly without fear of judgement. Therapy is about understanding yourself more deeply, processing what’s difficult, and finding a direction forward. We'll work through your challenges together, at a pace that feels right for you. With support, things can start to feel a little more manageable.
The counselling I offer is client-led which means you decide what we talk about and when. I’ll adapt to your needs and meet you where you're at. Sessions are 50 minute and can be held online or over the phone. If you'd prefer longer or shorter sessions, we can talk about that too.
A bit about me:
I trained at the University of Salford, gaining a Masters (Level 7) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I’ve supported many clients through a range of life experiences including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low mood, life changes, sexual assault, domestic abuse, ADHD diagnosis and relationship difficulties.
Whatever you're facing, we’ll explore it together, gently and openly - helping you to understand, process, and accept your experiences in your own time.
Practice description
Your counselling journey is completely yours. We’ll go at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. If there is anything that would make the process easier or more accessible, please let me know - I want this to feel as safe and comfortable as possible for you.
Flexible availability:
I understand life can be busy and unpredictable. I aim to be as flexible as possible, offering sessions in the morning, afternoon or evening depending on what works best for you. If you have a time in mind, feel free to get in touch and we can try to make it work.
You're current experience:
If things feel overwhelming right now, please know that even taking the step to look for help is a sign of strength. You don’t have to face this alone. Whether or not you choose to work with me, I wish you all the best in finding the right support and starting your journey toward feeling better.
My first session
First steps – a free consultation:
To help you decide if I’m the right therapist for you, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation. This is a chance for us to talk through what’s brought you here, what you might need, and for you to ask any questions you have.
If I feel I’m not the right fit for your needs, I’ll be honest with you - it’s so important that you find the therapist who feels right for you
When we begin counselling, we will discuss the consultation, your goals and what you need. From there, the counselling journey can be unpredictable, intense and emotional. This is often expected, but I will be there for you every step of the way. We work through things together. You will always feel supported through me.
We can recognise behaviours, patterns, thoughts and emotions that are causing you distress. With recognition comes exploration and understanding, possible alterations and acceptance.
