About me and my therapy practice
How I Work
I work collaboratively and reflectively, creating a therapeutic space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences safely and without judgment. Our work begins with understanding what has brought you to therapy and identifying what you would like support with.My core approach is grounded in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy, which allows us to explore both present difficulties and deeper patterns that may be influencing how you relate to yourself and others. This approach supports emotional healing while also encouraging greater self-awareness, personal integration, and growth.
Alongside this depth-oriented work, I may integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where helpful, particularly when working with anxiety, stress, or unhelpful thinking patterns. This allows therapy to be both reflective and practical.
Some clients come with a specific issue they want to focus on, while others are seeking a space to pause, reflect, and understand themselves more deeply. Therapy can help you process difficult experiences, recognise patterns, strengthen emotional resilience, and explore new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.
I offer both short-term focused therapy and longer-term exploratory work, depending on your needs and goals. Sessions last 50 minutes and are available online or in person in Enfield, North London.
Practice description
I run a private psychotherapy practice supporting adults from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing emotional, relational, or life challenges. My practice offers a calm and confidential environment where clients can speak openly and be met with empathy, respect, and professional care.
Alongside my private practice, I work with mental health platforms, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), charities, and private healthcare providers, supporting individuals across a range of settings. This includes short-term therapy through workplace mental health services as well as longer-term therapeutic work.
My professional background spans community mental health services, the charity sector, education, and healthcare settings, which has deepened my understanding of how psychological well-being connects with everyday life, relationships, and social context.
I work with adults experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, neurodivergence, and life transitions. Many clients seek therapy during periods of change, uncertainty, or emotional strain, while others seek a reflective space to better understand themselves and their life direction.
I offer therapy in English and Portuguese and regularly work with Portuguese-speaking clients who prefer therapy in their native language.
Sessions are available online or face-to-face in Enfield, North London. I work in accordance with the Â鶹Դ´ Ethical Framework, maintain regular clinical supervision, and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure safe, ethical, and reflective practice.
My first session
Your First Session
Before arranging a first session, I offer a brief introductory phone call. This gives you the opportunity to share a little about what has brought you to therapy and to ask any questions about how I work. It also allows us to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
If you decide to go ahead, we will agree on a regular weekly time for sessions, and I will send you an initial counselling questionnaire along with some practical information about working together. This helps me understand your background, current difficulties, and what you would like support with, allowing us to use our session time more effectively.
When we meet for the first session, we simply begin where you are. Starting therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if you have never had counselling before. You do not need to have everything clearly worked out or know exactly what to say. My aim is to create a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can take things at your own pace, feel heard, and begin to explore what matters most to you.
