About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Val
Thank you for taking the time to read through my profile, and a very warm welcome to you. I am a warm, approachable counsellor based near Coventry and Rugby (Wolston, Warwickshire, CV8), and I offer in-person, online, phone, email, and walk-and-talk therapy.
I specialise in working with neurodivergent clients, including autistic and ADHD individuals, and those navigating anxiety, identity, self-esteem or life transitions. My clients come to me feeling overwhelmed and misunderstood, or sometimes seeking a space where they can simply "be themselves" without judgment.
Practice description
My therapy style is person-centred and integrative - meaning therapy is tailored to you. I believe that you hold the answers within yourself, and we explore together to find out challenges, strengths and if you wish to make any changes to foster personal growth at your own pace.
I have counselled Adults and Young People, through Childline, School Counselling, New Hope and my Private Practice, The Therapeutic Camper. I hold an enhanced DBS for Child & Adult Workforce, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, alongside my Â鶹Դ´ registration and regularly complete CPD.
I have a limited number of spaces for counselling students offering reduced rates, so please do contact me if you would like to find out more about this.
I also sit on the Â鶹Դ´ Steering Group for Good Practice and help review the Â鶹Դ´ Good Practice in Action guides.
Therapy is all about you.
You may be an autistic or neurodivergent individual seeking support at this point in your life, or seeking support for a neurodivergent family member or friend. Having someone independent and non-judgmental can give you or your family member the space to explore what feels right for you. Every therapy journey is as unique as you.
My first session
You are welcome to book an initial session just to see how you feel, or we can have a short initial chat. Please do look through my website and socials as this gives you an initial flavour of what it may be like to have therapy with me.
As everyone is individual, offering a service where you can access therapy in the way that suits you the best feels important to me, and I offer a flexible service so you can access counselling in a way which works best for you. All details can be found by copying and pasting the link below:-
