About me and my therapy practice
Therapy to calm anxiety, release burnout, rebuild your self-worth, and step out of survival mode.
Hi and welcome, I鈥檓 Iga鈥
I鈥檓 an Integrative Counsellor specialising in supporting anxious adults who feel stuck in survival mode. I work with people who are exhausted from holding everything together - often living with anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem or the lasting impact of stress and trauma.
In our work together, we鈥檒l gently explore what鈥檚 been keeping you in survival mode, so you can reconnect with yourself, build inner safety, and begin to thrive - not just cope.
WHO I WORK WITH
You might be here because:
- You feel constantly on edge, anxious, burnt-out, or unable to relax
- Overthinking, perfectionism, self-doubt, or people-pleasing are wearing you down
- Past emotional trauma is still impacting your relationships and confidence
- You feel disconnected from yourself, your needs, or your emotions
- You want to feel safe in your own skin again
- You鈥檙e wondering who you are beyond your responsibilities or achievements
- You鈥檙e tired of just getting through the day and ready to feel more in control of your life
If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone, you're carried too much for too long. I鈥檇 love to work with you.
HOW THERAPY CAN HELP
Together, we can work towards:
- Finding tools to manage anxiety, reduce overwhelm, and feel more in control
- Calming your mind - without the constant mental noise and self-criticism
- Building connection to your emotions - without feeling overwhelmed by them
- Feeling more compassionate for yourself, especially during tough moments
- Healing the impact of pain caused by repeated experiences of not feeling safe, valued, or supported in relationships
- Rebuilding your self-trust and confidence
- Cultivating inner calm and clarity
- Moving from survival mode into a life that feels connected and meaningful
Starting therapy can feel daunting, therefore I offer a free 20-minute consultation via Zoom or phone so we can meet, discuss your needs, and see if we鈥檙e a good fit.
Practice description
My approach is integrative which means I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities and tailor our work to what you need. A core part of this is working with parts of the self - the different inner voices, emotions, and protective patterns that we all carry - helping you get to know and care for each of them with compassion rather than judgment, gently exploring what they鈥檙e trying to communicate and helping them work together rather than against each other.
I work in a relational and trauma-informed way, placing great importance on creating a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship. The connection between therapist and client isn鈥檛 just the backdrop to the work - it鈥檚 one of the most powerful parts of the healing process.
Much of my work centres around anxiety, chronic stress, and burnout. I support clients in understanding their nervous system responses and developing practical, compassionate ways to regulate, so life feels more manageable and grounded rather than overwhelming.
I work with many neurodivergent clients, including those diagnosed with ADHD or Autism later in life. These clients often describe long histories of burnout, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. My neuro-affirmative approach will help you reconnect with your needs and learn to live in a way that honours your nervous system, so you can move from self-blame to self-understanding and acceptance.
I'm bilingual (English and Polish) and have experience working cross-culturally. I understand how language, culture, and upbringing can shape emotional expression, identity, and our relationship with ourselves and others.

My first session
Initial Consultation & First Session
Finding the right counsellor or therapist can feel overwhelming, especially if you are feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure where to begin. To support you in taking this first step, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call, available by phone or online (Zoom or Google Meet).
This is a relaxed, no-obligation conversation where you can:
- ask any questions you may have about counselling or therapy
- share a little about what has been going on for you
- explore whether my way of working feels right for you
I will also explain my therapeutic approach and how I might be able to support you, so you can make an informed decision about starting therapy.
What to expect in the first counselling session
It is completely natural to feel nervous when beginning therapy. In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and clarifying what you would like help with. This initial assessment allows me to understand your needs, goals, and any previous experience of counselling.
I work at your pace and aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to.
Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes.

I work in a relational and trauma-informed way, placing great importance on creating a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship. The connection between therapist and client isn鈥檛 just the backdrop to the work - it鈥檚 one of the most powerful parts of the healing process.
Another key element of therapy with me is supporting your nervous system. We鈥檒l work on recognising what safety, stress, or overwhelm feel like in your body, and develop ways to regulate, ground, and reconnect. This helps bring more ease, clarity, and calm into your daily life.
Sometimes emotional distress can show up through the body - as fatigue, tension, pain, or digestive issues. These are not 鈥渏ust in your head.鈥 Your mind and body are always in conversation, and therapy can help you understand and care for both.
I work in a neuro-affirmative way, honouring neurodiversity (such as ADHD & Autism), and individual differences as part of what makes us human. Many people I support come to therapy after years of masking, burnout, or feeling misunderstood. My approach centres on compassion, nervous system support, and helping you reconnect with who you are beneath coping and survival strategies.
I鈥檓 also an LGBTQ+ ally, committed to creating a compassionate and inclusive space where you can show up fully as yourself.

Together, we鈥檒l gently explore what鈥檚 been keeping you in survival mode, so you can reconnect with yourself, build inner safety, and begin to thrive - not just cope.
WHO I WORK WITH
You might be here because:
- You feel constantly on edge, anxious, burnt-out, or unable to relax
- Overthinking, perfectionism, self-doubt, or people-pleasing are wearing you down
- Past emotional trauma is still impacting your well-being relationships and confidence
Starting therapy can feel daunting, therefore I offer a free 20-minute consultation via Zoom or phone so we can meet and discuss your needs.
