About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Megan, a Â鶹Դ´-registered integrative counsellor offering online counselling.
I provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever feels important to you. I understand that starting counselling can feel daunting, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and able to go at your own pace.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of approaches, including person-centred, Gestalt, and transactional analysis. This allows me to tailor my work to you as an individual, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, and life’s more challenging moments. I have a particular interest in supporting mothers through pregnancy, postnatal life, and the emotional challenges of early parenthood.
My approach is gentle and trauma-informed, meaning we work in a way that feels safe and manageable for you. Together, we can explore your thoughts and experiences, helping you to better understand yourself and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Practice description
I offer online counselling sessions via video or telephone, providing a flexible and accessible way to access support from the comfort of your own space.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and are usually held weekly, although this can be discussed depending on your needs.
I aim to create a calm, confidential and supportive environment where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy - we can take things one step at a time.
My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings, building self-understanding, and finding ways to move forward that feel meaningful and manageable.
If you are considering counselling, you are very welcome to get in touch. A brief email outlining what has brought you to therapy can be helpful, but there is no pressure to share everything straight away.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call, which gives you the opportunity to ask any questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.
If you decide to go ahead, our first full session will focus on getting to know you and what has brought you to counselling. We may also talk through how I work, confidentiality, and what you hope to gain from therapy.
There is no expectation to share everything in the first session - we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
If we both feel that we are a good fit, we can then agree on a regular session time that works for you.
What I can help with
Anxiety, Baby loss, Bereavement, Child related issues, Depression, Infertility, Loss, Obsessions, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues
