About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative counsellor working with individual adults in Peckham, Waterloo and online. I aim to offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on in your life.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a specific difficulty such as anxiety, low mood or the impact of a recent loss. At other times there may be a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure about the direction life is taking.
My training is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what might be most helpful for you. Some people find it useful to explore how earlier life experiences continue to shape how they feel or relate to others today. At other times we may focus more on a particular challenge you are currently facing.
My aim is to work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, helping you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the patterns that may be affecting your life.
Practice description
In my practice I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. Many of the people I see are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or the impact of difficult or painful experiences. Others come to therapy because something in their life feels stuck, confusing or overwhelming, and they want space to think and reflect.
I have particular experience supporting clients around grief, loss and bereavement. I also work with the lifelong impact of adoption, including with adult adoptees, adoptive parents and birth family members.
Alongside my private practice I have worked within a bereavement charity and in LGBTQ+ mental health services. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and have significant experience working with LGBTQ+ people.
Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes. I offer therapy in person and online. My aim is to create a space where you feel able to speak openly and explore whatever feels important, at a pace that feels right for you.
