About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and health and wellbeing coach. My practice is built on compassion, authenticity, and a deep respect for the individuality of each person I work with. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace, free from judgement and met with genuine care.

How I work

My approach is integrative and person鈥慶entred, combining methods such as CBT鈥慽nformed strategies, solution鈥慺ocused techniques, and coaching tools. This flexibility allows me to tailor sessions to your needs, whether you鈥檙e seeking gentle exploration, practical coping strategies, or a blend of both. At the heart of my practice is collaboration: we work together to understand your challenges and move towards meaningful change.

Who I support

I work with adults and young people (16+) experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, life transitions, and feelings of being stuck or disconnected. I also have experience supporting neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD, and I understand the importance of adapting therapy to be inclusive and accessible.

Professional background

I work within NHS primary care and community settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support individuals facing diverse emotional and behavioural challenges.  This experience strengthened my belief in holistic wellbeing, the connection between mind and body, and the value of empowering people to build resilience and create lasting change.

In our sessions, my intention is to build a genuine, collaborative relationship where you feel truly heard and valued. I believe therapy is not about labels or diagnoses, but about creating space for conversation, reflection, and growth. I encourage gentle exploration alongside practical tools, always recognising the deep connection between mind and body. This holistic approach supports resilience, wellbeing, and helps you reconnect with what feels authentic and meaningful in your life.

I understand that reaching out can feel daunting, yet it is also a courageous and life鈥慳ffirming choice. It opens the possibility of greater self鈥憉nderstanding and change. You may be living with anxiety that unsettles your daily rhythm, carrying the weight of past trauma, or navigating transitions such as a career shift, the end of a relationship, or the loss of someone dear. At times, you might feel stuck, disconnected, or simply worn down.

Therapy offers a safe and nurturing space where your experiences are honoured and explored at your own pace. Together, we can look at what matters most to you, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change. My aim is to help you restore balance, strengthen your wellbeing, and move forward with greater ease and clarity.

You can expect warmth, compassion, and a non鈥慾udgemental environment where your privacy and comfort are respected. I tailor sessions to your needs, whether you prefer structured techniques, open鈥慹nded reflection, or a blend of both. My role is not to 鈥渇ix鈥 you, but to walk alongside you, supporting you in building resilience, gaining clarity, and opening up new possibilities for yourself.

My first session

I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call to help you determine whether counselling with me is the right fit for you. This brief conversation provides an opportunity to share what you鈥檙e looking for, ask any questions, and gain a sense of how I work before committing to full sessions.

If you decide to continue, our first full session will be an opportunity to explore your current situation, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I鈥檒l also explain how I work, discuss confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have.

The first full session is charged at my standard rate, and there鈥檚 no obligation to continue if it doesn鈥檛 feel right for you. My aim is to help you feel comfortable, informed, and supported from the very start of your counselling journey.
