About me and my therapy practice

Whether you are looking for support through a challenging time, or wanting to make changes in your life, I can offer short and long term counselling and therapy in a safe and caring space. I work face-to-face in Saltaire, Yorkshire and online.

Sometimes life throws us challenges which can be difficult to work through alone, and life can feel overwhelming.  Having a trained therapist to support you in this can be invaluable.

My style is relaxed and friendly.  I have been described as warm and compassionate with a good sense of humour.  As an Integrative Therapist, I work collaboratively with each client to find the best ways forward for each one individually.

Practice description

I am a trained Integrative Humanistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, having trained in London and Devon in the 1990s and have worked in private practice and as a school counsellor.

My training and experience is in Integrative Humanistic Psychology, and am IFS and Psychosynthesis informed in my work, which means that I used a variety of different approaches according to the needs of my client, but always take a collaborative and person-centred approach.

I am a warm and friendly therapist offering a confidential, flexible and professional service.

My sessions last 50 minutes and most people choose weekly sessions, however more or less frequent are also available.

Every enquiry starts with a 15 minute introductory phone call so that we can feel comfortable that we are a good match to work together, and my available sessions work for you.  Following that, our first session is agreed, and we will progress from there.

It is very important that you feel comfortable with your therapist and confident that this is the right match for you, so the first session is a time to ask any questions you have about the way I work, as well as discussing the background to what has brought you here. At the end of this introductory talk we can decide if we are a good fit  and, if so, we can plan our work together.
