About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Leandra - a fully qualified and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist). I work from counselling rooms in Glasgow, Clarkston, East Kilbride. I also provide online video therapy sessions via a secure platform, allowing you to be based anywhere in the UK
If you're struggling or considering counselling, I provide a welcoming space to help you process difficult feelings and regain self-understanding. Therapy with me is supportive, warm, and focused on your growth. I will welcome you as you are, and together we’ll figure things out.
While therapy can be serious, there’s also room for warmth and genuine connection. My goal is to offer a space where you can better understand yourself and begin to feel like yourself again.
Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked internationally within multicultural societies, an experience that continues to shape my therapeutic approach. This background has given me a strong appreciation for diversity and the ability to work sensitively and effectively with people from a wide range of cultural, social, and personal backgrounds.
Practice description
My expertise includes anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, loss, relationship problems, stress, phobias, OCD, abuse, bullying, low self-esteem, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, insomnia.
I also support clients with childhood experiences and early life challenges, as well as child-parent and parent-child relationship difficulties. Additionally, I work with individuals navigating pregnancy, birth, and motherhood challenges, expatriation, and cross-cultural or multicultural concerns. My approach is compassionate and tailored, helping you understand how these experiences may impact your wellbeing and providing strategies to build resilience and balance.
I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I hold a COSCA validated Scotacs Diploma in Counselling & Groupwork, and a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÂ鶹Դ´).
My first session
I offer in-person therapy sessions in a quiet and calm environment in Glasgow, Clarkston or East Kilbride, or online video sessions or a combination of both. Sessions last 50 minutes.
Understanding your problems and knowing you are not alone or different in what you are experiencing can bring a sense of relief.
If you would like to start therapy, you can email me and we can discuss your queries in more detail.
