I am currently offering in person sessions in a counselling studio within waling distance of Liverpool street station. My current hours are 12-4pm on Fridays but this may increase in the future. I am also able to offer online sessions at other times.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and have been in practice since 2022. I offer face to face and online counselling, both short and long term.
I am currently studying for a Masters in Psychology, which supplements my therapeutic practice with a broader knowledge base including social and neuropsychology.
Practice description
If it is your first time in therapy, I will do my utmost to make what can seem daunting very simple. There is no right way of approaching your first therapy session, all you need to do is turn up. I firmly believe in the importance of establishing a strong working alliance with good rapport. That being said, if you have something you're desperate to speak about then there is no shame in that either.
I see every therapeutic relationship as unique as the clients that I work with. My goal is to give you a space where you feel free to think, act and feel in ways you normally cannot. With this freedom, you can then find out what your true values are, and develop ways to use these to guide your behaviours and choices in life.
This comes, in part from truly accepting who you are, and the experiences you have. This allows you to let go of the internal conflicts that give rise to feelings of poor mental health. Whatever struggles you may face, I see it as my job to help you work through them safely, so you can move forward in life with a new sense of purpose and self-awareness.
My first session
For my first session I offer a reduced rate of £40. I use GDPR compliant practice management called Zandahealth and there are a few short forms which I will ask you to fill out before our first session. These help to make the initial meeting more productive. I'm happy to answer any questions about these either by email or the phone.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a welcoming space where we can work together to develop a sense of your experiences, observing, without judgement. Maybe you are struggling with worry and negativity, or is it persistent anxiety or emptiness, maybe you act in ways that you cannot explain.
Therapy can help end the struggle with thoughts and ideas that limit you, triggering shame and other difficult emotions, learning how to stop fighting and let go instead.
We may explore your history, your childhood, your relationships but I am also oriented towards the acceptance that it is in the here and now that change and growth are possible.
It is like taking a step back. You can get a clearer perspective on your thoughts, your feelings and your assumptions. With some time and space to reflect on your own values, you begin to see how they can guide decision-making and help you to direct your behaviour.
Practice description
I have a counselling studio in Canterbury, in a wellbeing centre shared by other therapists and other businesses. I also offer sessions online through Zoom Telehealth and other platforms if you require them.
I run the administration of my practice through Zanda, which gives you a client portal to help manage your appointments. I am also taking a stand against the use of AI systems so this is not something you will encounter in engaging my services.
My first session
I currently offer a free assessment session lasting between 30-50 minutes. This is to determine if we are a good fit to work together and an opportunity for you to find out more about what is on offer.
In this session we will also work on establishing some goals for therapy and the means by which we might measure progress as the work proceeds.
