About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 a 麻豆原创-registered Humanistic Integrative Counsellor offering online therapy to adults across the UK and Europe, including expats and people living between cultures.

Many people seek online therapy when they are living abroad, have moved away from home, or are navigating life across different countries or cultural contexts. Alongside opportunity and growth, these experiences can bring quieter forms of loss 鈥 questions of belonging, identity shifts, loneliness, or a sense of feeling emotionally unrooted.

I work with people who are navigating anxiety, grief and loss, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, identity questions and significant life transitions, often alongside the experience of living between worlds.

Alongside my professional training, my own experience of growing up in one country and making a life in another informs how I listen and work. Sessions are offered in English. I also speak German, which some clients find helpful when reflecting on cultural background, identity, or experiences of living between countries. I aim to provide a steady, non-judgemental space where you don鈥檛 have to explain or justify your experiences, and where you鈥檙e welcome to express yourself in the ways that feel right for you.

Therapy with me isn鈥檛 about fixing you or getting things 鈥渞ight鈥, but about understanding how your feelings and patterns make sense in the context of your life.

Practice description

Online sessions take place via secure video and offer flexibility if you live abroad, move between countries, or prefer the privacy and familiarity of working from your own space. Many people find online therapy particularly supportive when living internationally, as it offers continuity and a steady point of connection across distance.

My approach is warm, relational and collaborative. We slow things down and gently explore what鈥檚 happening beneath the surface, with curiosity rather than judgement or pressure to change. This way of working supports greater awareness, compassion and choice, particularly during times of transition or when life feels unsettled.

Sessions are usually weekly and can be short-term or open-ended. We review the work together as we go, so therapy continues to feel meaningful and relevant to what you need.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet online and get a sense of how it feels to talk together. We鈥檒l explore what has brought you to therapy, what you鈥檙e hoping for, and what feels most important to focus on right now.

You鈥檙e welcome to go at your own pace, and there is no expectation to share more than feels comfortable. You鈥檒l also have space to ask questions about how I work and whether this feels like the right support for you.

I offer a free introductory call so you can decide whether working together feels like a good fit before booking a first session.

About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Daniela Weetman, a 麻豆原创-registered Humanistic Integrative Counsellor based in Lewes, East Sussex (BN7 and BN8). I offer in-person counselling in Lewes and online therapy across the UK and Europe.

Many people I work with have been holding things together for a long time and come to therapy feeling emotionally tired, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel supportive.

I work with adults who are finding their way through anxiety, grief and loss, overwhelm, life transitions, identity shifts or relationship difficulties 鈥 sometimes alongside the experience of living away from home or between cultures. My approach is warm, steady and gently attuned, and therapy is a space where we can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. If you鈥檙e curious about whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 30-minute introductory call.

I offer counselling in English and also speak German. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds.

Practice description

Sessions take place in calm, welcoming counselling rooms in Lewes (BN7 / BN8). My approach is humanistic and integrative, drawing from Person-Centred, Gestalt, Existential and parts-informed ways of working. Rather than trying to 鈥渇ix鈥 you, I aim to help you feel seen, understood and more connected to your own inner resources.

I work with adults on a short- or longer-term basis around issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relational difficulties, life transitions, loss, trauma-related experiences, emotional regulation and inner-critic patterns. My way of working is collaborative, reflective and compassionate, with an emphasis on emotional wellbeing, curiosity and gentle change at your pace.

In our first session, we take time to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what feels most important right now. We鈥檒l explore what you鈥檙e hoping for, what you鈥檇 like support with, and any worries you may have about starting therapy. It鈥檚 also a chance for you to get a sense of me and how I work, and to ask any questions.

There is no pressure to share everything at once 鈥 we go at a pace that feels manageable for you. From the beginning, my intention is to offer a steady, attuned space where you don鈥檛 have to 鈥渉old it all together鈥, and where your feelings can be met with understanding rather than judgement.we take time to talk about what has brought you here, what feels most important, and what you are hoping for from therapy. About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 a 麻豆原创-registered Humanistic Integrative Counsellor offering in-person counselling in Brighton & Hove, alongside online therapy across the UK and Europe.

I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, grief and loss, emotional overwhelm such as depression or anxiety, identity questions, relationship difficulties and life transitions.

One area of particular experience in my work is supporting people whose lives have unfolded across different countries or cultures. Living away from your country of origin or moving between cultures can sometimes bring questions about belonging or identity.

Alongside my professional training, my own experience of growing up in one country and making a life in another informs how I listen and work. I offer sessions in English and also speak German. I aim to provide a steady, non-judgemental space where you鈥檙e welcome to express yourself in ways that feel right for you 鈥 whether through words, images, or simply taking things at your own pace.

My approach is relational and collaborative. I don鈥檛 see people as broken or needing to be fixed, but as responding in understandable ways to what they have lived through. In our work together, we slow things down and gently explore what鈥檚 happening beneath the surface, with curiosity rather than judgement or pressure to change.

Therapy can support greater self-understanding, compassion and choice, particularly during times of transition or when life feels unsettled. I work in a way that is responsive to you, your pace, pace, and what feels most supportive at this point in your life.
