About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I鈥檓 a person-centred therapist who believes that much damage is done in relationships. I also believe that, as hard as it might seem, it is in relationship that we heal. The core of my practice is in offering you a relationship you can trust. Where you鈥檙e accepted, held and supported. I will welcome you, exactly as you are.

Whatever you are dealing with, I commit to working with you openly and sincerely as myself. I will listen, understand and engage with you sensitively and compassionately as a 鈥渇ellow traveller鈥, in the hope that it will allow you to feel safe to explore your concerns.

My experience tells me that, as we collaborate, shedding light on your unique patterns, reactions, thoughts and feelings, you will start to feel different. You will gain insights, know yourself better and experience a stronger sense of yourself. This will give you more agency to move forward in ways that suit you, rather than being buffeted by life鈥檚 events.

If this feels like the right fit for you, please get in touch. I offer a free introductory call and a reduced rate first session. I also offer a limited number of concessionary spaces.

Practice description

I work in person at the Edinburgh Wellbeing Collective located in Charlotte House near Charlotte Square in central Edinburgh. It鈥檚 a 5 min walk to Princes Street. 15 mins to Waverley or Haymarket stations.

Sessions are usually weekly at an agreed time and last for 60 mins.

I am committed to the continuous professional development of my practice to ensure you receive a safe and professional service. I have completed trainings in trauma, mental health first aid and workshops to deepen my person-centred practice.

I also undertake regular supervision as required by my professional governing body and to ensure a safe working practice.

I believe the person-centred approach is particularly suited to relationship trauma (Complex PTSD) work and the resulting feelings of shame, fragility, isolation, anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, disconnection etc. I will respect your pace and work with you carefully as you recognise, understand and process the consequences. This work we do will help you to settle, heal and find ways forward.

Please don鈥檛 hesitate to contact me if you would like to know more, have any questions or would like to book a session.
