About me and my therapy practice
I offer both Individual therapy and couples therapy
Although life can be challenging, at times these challenges feel overwhelming, devastating and can develop into crisis. Psychotherapy helps you find your way through these difficult times, knowing that someone is walking alongside you.
Through building a trusting relationship with me, we'll be able to explore your situation, increasing your awareness of what you need and long for, making more sense of your situation and experiencing less distress
As your story unfolds, psychotherapy brings awareness and insight into previously unseen truths and influences, which can then be worked through and made sense of together.
Psychodynamic therapy enables you to know your own mind, realise your identity and find out what you really want and need. It helps you to find your ‘true self’ and live an authentic life. It works by freeing you from unconscious assumptions, patterns and behaviours. These were often established in very early life, holding you captive and keeping you stuck, without you even being aware of them.
Alongside individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am also trained in Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy.
This attachment focussed way of working helps couples move from disconnection to closeness
Reduces conflict by understanding the emotional needs beneath reactive patterns
Rebuilds trust after periods of distance, stress, or rupture
Strengthens intimacy by fostering emotional openness and responsiveness
Improves communication through increased safety and connection
Supports healing from relational injuries and misunderstandings
I use a calm, supportive space and a collaborative approach so you can find and understand the repeating patterns of conflict within your relationship that cause disconnection and distance.
Seeing your negative cycles enables you to learn about your inner worlds and your emotional needs, fears and longings, reestablish the bond and develop a closer connection
