About me and my therapy practice
I offer creative psychotherapy for women facing emotional challenges, trauma, or life transitions. In a collaborative, gently-paced space, you can process emotions, gain insight and clarity, and move forward with greater assurance.
Practice description
Curious about creative psychotherapy?
You may be feeling 鈥渙ff,鈥 stuck, or overwhelmed, without always knowing why 鈥 or navigating challenges such as trauma, grief, anxiety, relationships, or identity struggles.
I offer a collaborative, safe, gently-paced space, integrating talking therapy with gentle creative techniques to help explore and process complex emotions. You do not need to be creative 鈥 these are tools to support the process.
Therapy can help you:
鈥 process difficult or overwhelming emotions
鈥 gain insight and clarity
鈥 feel more self-aware, understood, and supported
鈥 reconnect with your sense of self
鈥 navigate decisions or change with greater assurance
I work with women across a broad range of experiences, including trauma, grief, relationship challenges, self-esteem, identity, life transitions, health issues, neurodiversity, and attachment issues.
I am trauma certified and a Rewind Technique practitioner, integrating Compassion-Focused Therapy, CBT-informed approaches, Transactional Analysis, and attachment awareness 鈥 all tailored to your needs.
Face-to-face sessions are offered in a calm, discreet Harrogate location, with free parking and a comfortable caf茅/lounge space for reflection.
If you鈥檙e curious whether this approach could suit you, you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch to arrange our initial session.
My first session
Your first session is a gentle, informal introduction to therapy. We鈥檒l go through an intake form together, covering practical details and what you hope to gain from therapy.
I鈥檒l explain my approach and we may use creative techniques 鈥 such as images, simple visual prompts, or reflective exercises 鈥 to help explore thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe and accessible. You do not need to be 鈥渃reative鈥 for these to be helpful.
We鈥檒l begin exploring what you鈥檇 like from therapy and how we may work together. Sessions are collaborative, flexible, and tailored to your needs. We usually end by confirming your next session, which is held at the same time each week exclusively for you.
