About me and my therapy practice
My name is Katie Jeffery and I am a qualified Â鶹Դ´ psychotherapist in private practice offering my services as a counsellor for children, young people and adults. I am based in Kenilworth and cater for Solihull, Coventry and the areas between. I deliver short- and long-term therapy using integrative approaches so that each person's sessions are flexible and tailor made to their individual needs. In a variety of settings, for over 15 years, I have supported children, young people, and adults from all over the world through a broad range of issues including anxiety and stress in education and in the work place, traumatic experiences, bereavement, grief and loss related to cancer and other illnesses, health and neurodiversity diagnosis, LGBTQ+ and Identity exploration, difficult relationships, anger management, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
Practice description
I am passionate about people receiving great mental health services which are ethical, diverse and inclusive. I adhere to the Â鶹Դ´ ethical framework assuring confidentiality and professionality are maintained, to enable us to work together to develop your abilities and empower you to make positive changes to overcome your challenges. I believe there is hope for you and I aim to assist you in strengthening your belief in a better future.
As a neurodivergent with experience in supporting others who are neurodiverse, a creative and a youth worker I know how hard it can be to explain and express yourself. This is why I offer the option to use artistic approaches to help aid clients in expressing whats difficult to say and regulate their emotions.
My first session
Before meeting for our first session I offer a 15-20 minute video call (for which there is no charge) to give you the opportunity to see whether the counselling I offer is appropriate to your needs and for you to decide if you would like to work with me.
Following the initial 15 minute video call we can arrange a first session which will be to gather information about you, establish your goals for therapy and ensure my expertise matches your needs. Prior to the first session you will be sent a copy of my Privacy Policy which outlines how I keep your data secure in line with current GDPR legislation, a contract agreement and an invoice.
We will aim to meet in person or online at the same time, on the same day every week.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Katie and I believe there is hope for you! I aim to collaborate with you in strengthening your belief for a better future and to create a safe space where you will feel seen and heard.
As someone with experience in supporting those who feel like an outsider, or feel different, and struggle to fit into 'normal', I know the importance of having someone in your life that makes an effort to understand you as you are. This is why my practice is integrative so that each persons sessions are flexible and tailor made to your individual needs.
As a Christian I am committed to providing a safe and respectful space for exploring whatever your beliefs and values are, as well as helping you to navigate the challenges of life.
For over 15 years I have supported children, teens, young adults and adults from all over the world through a broad range of issues including anxiety and stress in education and in the work place, bereavement, grief and loss related to cancer and other illnesses, health and neurodiversity diagnosis, difficult relationships, anger management, self harm and suicidal ideation.
Practice description
I am a qualified integrative counsellor incorporating a variety of different approaches to meet you where you are at. These include Gestalt, psychodynamic, creative therapies, person-centred and CBT techniques.
I deliver short and long term therapy giving the opportunity for us to review every 6 sessions how we feel things are going to ensure your needs and expectations are met.
I am a creative at heart and use various artistic approaches in my work to help aid clients in expressing themselves where it is difficult to find the words and regulate their emotions. Some of the creative interventions carried out in my practice include using drawing, painting and play dough as a way to express thoughts and feelings; using guided imagery, meditation and body awareness to learn how to regulate and ground yourself in times of anxiety.
