About me and my therapy practice
Deciding to begin psychotherapy is a deeply personal and sometimes difficult choice. It often comes after a period of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply knowing that something needs to change, but not quite knowing how. There are many reasons why people begin therapy, however whatever your reasons, choosing to begin therapy is a brave and important step. It means you are choosing your wellbeing and that you are open to the possibility of change, healing, and growth.
You may be unsure of what you need from therapy, many people do, we can start our work together from wherever you are right now.
My approach to psychotherapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person. I will work with you, through the process, a process that can help you understand yourself more deeply, work through emotional difficulties, and make meaningful changes in your life. The decision to come into therapy is the first step I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a safe and respectful space for you to be heard without judgment and a confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I have worked with children and families for the last 25 years including working for the NHS and Charity sector. I have experience supporting mothers pre and post natal, families in crisis, families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness and experience with end of life support. I have also had many years of personal therapy and continue my professional development. I am a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ and trained with the Counselling Foundation. I have a private practice working with clients who experience a number of issues such as relationship issues, bereavement, anxiety, depression, stress and trauma.
Whatever brings you here, I offer a safe therapeutic relationship where you can be truly heard.

The first session is an important opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine whether we’re a good fit for working together as it is important that you feel safe and at ease. This first session is 90 minutes and it will allow time to explore what has brought you to therapy, your current concerns and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
