About me and my therapy practice

With over 25 years of international, multicultural experience, I bring a well-rounded approach to my therapeutic work with clients. My work is anchored in a blend of past hands-on people leadership in occupational settings, an established background in stress management education, and my long-standing experience as a qualified coach, occupational psychologist, and psychotherapist.

My own lifelong learning path—as a professional, woman, psychologist, and mental health practitioner—navigating the realities of career, leadership, and life pressures allows me to offer authentic, insightful, and compassionate support and healing.

I offer guidance for those struggling with anxiety, stress, and emotional dysregulation. These challenges can lead to addictive behaviours or unhealthy patterns—such as overworking—that hold people back from living healthier lives, and in the long run, may lead to burnout and negatively impact family life, physical health, and social wellbeing.

I support emotional wellbeing by helping clients recognise and connect with their emotions, develop effective regulation strategies, and find greater fulfilment. This enables clients to overcome blockages while building stronger emotional regulation and self-confidence.

I specialise in helping individuals heal interpersonal and attachment issues—whether in romantic relationships or other significant emotional connections. I also support clients facing physical or emotional intimacy challenges or low self-esteem.

I also work with women navigating body image concerns, intimacy issues, self-doubt, attachment issues, low self-confidence, where these may impact identity in life and work.

I provide support through major or traumatic life transitions—such as divorce, loss, or career change. Whether expected or not, these experiences can bring grief or shock, and I help clients move through them with resilience and clarity.

Practice description

My approach is both empathic and goal oriented. I create a safe, supportive, and confidential space where exploration and healing can take place, all while working towards mutually agreed therapeutic goals. I tailor my therapeutic methods to each client’s needs, ensuring that the focus remains on facilitating their progress and fostering positive behavioural changes.

As an integrative therapist I blend my approach by being client-centred, empathic, creating a trusiting environment which allows my my clients to take active part in their own healing journey. I like to work with my clients by using a co-explorative , supportive team like approach.

My approach is structured, ethical, safe, and with some flexibility to ensure we work effectively with what is in the here and now and also with the past for the benefit of the client's future. I take an indepth assessment at the start of our session journey, which can be tailored to the client's needs and may include some questionnaires, and a personal hisroty interview. Ultimately we will co-create an approach that works to address the presenting issue.

In terms of modalities my integrative approach includes a variety of stress management applications, psychoeducation & practical exercises (to include sciences based education) person centred, Gestalt, schema therapy, positive psychology, somatic approaches such mindfulness, breathwork and imagery, attachment theory, psychodynamic counselling, solution-fcoussed, behavioural and transpersonal counselling.

My first session

We will meet for an initial consultation and assessment session vrtually, which can take between 15- 30 minutes. During this first session we will discuss your needs and expectations as well as my style of working and weekly therapy session format. If we decide to work together following this first session, we then agree on a high level therapeutic  plan & agree on specific therapeutic goals to work towards in following sessions.
