About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Suzanne. I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and I work with individuals and couples aged 18 and over. I offer 50-minute counselling sessions both in person — in a calm, private and welcoming space in the heart of Winchester — and online, so you can access support in a way that works best for you. Over the years, I’ve supported clients through a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and low self-esteem. I believe therapy is about helping you reconnect with your true self and supporting you to build a happier, more balanced, and fulfilling life.

To help you decide if I’m the right counsellor for you, I offer a free 30-minute online or phone consultation. This is a gentle, no-pressure opportunity for us to talk through what’s bringing you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and give you a feel for how we might work together.

If you’d like to arrange your free consultation or find out more about the way I work, I’d love to hear from you.

Practice description

In my practice, you’ll find a calm, safe, and welcoming space where you can talk freely and be truly heard. My approach is warm, respectful, and non-judgemental, and I work collaboratively with you at your own pace. Whether we meet in person or online, my aim is to help you feel supported as you explore your thoughts and emotions, gain new insights, and develop healthier ways of coping. You can expect honesty, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping you move toward greater balance, self-understanding, and fulfilment.

My first session

In our first session, I take time to get to know you and understand what has brought you to counselling. This is a space for you to talk about what you’d like to explore, what you hope to gain from therapy, and for us both to see if we feel comfortable working together. I don’t ask you to complete a formal assessment, but I may gently ask some questions to help me understand your background and current situation. The focus is on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where you can begin to share at your own pace and start to feel more at ease with the process.
