About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist specialising in working with young adults and teenagers struggling with change. Perhaps you are finding the transition to university, sixth form, college, or secondary school challenging. Or maybe you are questioning your gender, sexuality, religious or cultural identity.

Change and uncertainty can be terrifying, but having the right support can help you cope, or even thrive. I was inspired to train as a Psychotherapist following my own experience of therapy as a young adult and teenager, so I know this firsthand.

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor my approach to the needs of my clients. In addition to talk therapy, I often work with the creative arts, play, metaphor, and mindfulness as this can help us to access feelings that words alone fail to express.

Having worked for over 8 years in state, independent, international, and boarding schools, I have experience working with individuals and families from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and centres an awareness of intersectionality.

Some of the areas I support with include anxiety, neurodiversity, low self-esteem, panic attacks, depression or low mood, trauma, stress, academic pressure, perfectionism, school avoidance, relationship difficulties, divorce, identity exploration, or grief.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute consultation over the phone or on Zoom to understand more about what you are needing support with. This gives us a chance to decide whether working together feels right.

When working with children or adolescents under 16, the first three sessions serve as an assessment period. After this time, I will often invite parents of children under 16 in for a parental review session. During this initial parental review, I will take a developmental history and share my assessment and treatment plan. Depending on a child's needs, my treatment plan may include regular parenting reviews (e.g. every 6-8 weeks). With younger children, I find that working systemically with parents/carers makes the therapy more effective.

About me and my therapy practice

Being a young person today comes with unique challenges. I provide a safe and supportive space for children, adolescents, and young adults to explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop healthy ways of coping.

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I tailor my approach to the needs of my clients. In addition to talk therapy, I often work with the creative arts, play, metaphor, and mindfulness as this can help us to access feelings that words alone fail to express.

I am specifically trained and experienced in working with children and adolescents of all ages (4+). I have a particular interest and expertise in working with adolescents (11+) and young adults (up to 25).

Having worked for over 8 years in state, independent, international, and boarding schools, I have experience working with children and families from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds.
