About me and my therapy practice
Hi I鈥檓 Francesca Myles (BAhons, PGcert, M麻豆原创, Associate BAAT, & Creative Counsellors CIC member)
You might be living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, or the emotional impact of chronic health conditions 鈥 and feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted. You might be navigating grief, identity, or big life changes.
How I Work
I offer integrative creative counselling, which can include talking, creative exploration, writing, imagery, or simple grounding practices. You don鈥檛 need to be 鈥済ood at art.鈥 Creative work is simply another way of accessing parts of yourself that don鈥檛 always come out in conversation.
If you prefer to talk, we talk.
If you need structure, we build it.
If you need space, we slow it down.
Sessions are online, which can support accessibility, chronic health needs, work/family balance, and comfort.
Creative approaches we might use include drawing, collage, clay, writing, sandtray, storytelling, music, movement, or somatic practices 鈥 always at your pace, always optional.
My Approach
I bring professional experience from health and social care, including dementia support, palliative care, learning disability and Autism services, and community creative health work.
My training in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy draws from psychodynamic, transactional analysis, Gestalt, and somatic approaches, which I integrate depending on what feels most helpful for you.
Alongside professional experience, I bring lived understanding. I work in a trauma-aware, neurodiversity-affirming way, with warmth and clear boundaries.
Your story, your pace, and your boundaries matter here.
Practice description
My work is shaped by professional training, lived experience, and many years supporting people through anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional, physical, or social challenges. This helps me meet you with sensitivity, flexibility, and respect for the different ways people move through the world.
I am an Integrative Arts Counsellor, meaning we can work through talking therapy, creative expression, or a blend of both.
Together, we explore your emotions, relationships, identity, or life changes using words, imagery, metaphor, movement, or other creative approaches. Creativity can help access feelings that are hard to put into words, offering insight, calm, and new perspective.
I hold an inclusive, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming approach, specialising in supporting individuals with neurodiversity, invisible illness, disabilities, and their family members or carers. I am committed to making therapy accessible for people who may have struggled to access support in the past, and I am a disability-confident practitioner.
Alongside professional experience, my lived experience of CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia informs my understanding of the barriers many people face in accessing therapy. It allows me to work from a place of empathy, realism, and practical awareness of fluctuating health, energy limits, and the emotional impact of long-term conditions.
For many people, online therapy is as effective as in-person work. It can support work/life balance, improve access where health or disability is a factor, and remove the need for travel. You can attend sessions from the comfort and safety of your own space.
Whether we talk, create, or combine approaches, sessions are shaped around your pace and needs. Creative work can foster self-reflection, insight, coping strategies, and personal growth, and helps you find words or expression when they are hard to reach.
My first session
Book a free 20鈥憁inute initial call. This gives us a chance to meet, talk through what you鈥檙e looking for, and see whether I鈥檓 the right fit for your needs.
If we decide to continue, I'll book you in for a first session which is called an assessment session.
During this meeting, we鈥檒l gently explore your mental health history, your previous experiences of therapy, and what you鈥檙e hoping for now. I send the questions in advance and I鈥檒l also share a consent鈥憈o鈥憈herapy agreement for you to read through.
If we both feel that Creative Counselling would support you, my fee is 拢60 for a 1鈥慼our session.*
I offer a reduced rate of 拢50 for 18鈥25 year olds, therapy students, and those receiving certain benefits.
Most clients choose to meet weekly or fortnightly. We can work together long鈥憈erm or for an agreed number of sessions 鈥 this is always led by you. As a starting point, I usually suggest booking six sessions and then reviewing together how you鈥檙e finding the work and what you鈥檇 like to focus on moving forward.
