I offer counselling sessions on weekdays, and weekends, with morning, afternoon, and some early evening appointments available. Sessions can take place online, by telephone, from my home practice, outdoors as walk & talk, or through wild water swimming therapy. I work with adults, young adults, parents, and professionals, and will do my best to find a time that fits around your commitments and feels supportive during times of need.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile. I am a Â鶹ԭ´´-registered pluralistic counsellor, offering a compassionate space for adults, young adults, parents, and professionals.

I work alongside you, collaborating to find ways of meeting your needs. This might include coping with bereavement, navigating relationship changes, adjusting to relocation, or facing times of uncertainty but I can also support you with many other challenges that life may bring.

My approach is collaborative and flexible. Together, we explore what matters most to you, drawing on different methods to find the way forward that feels right. Sessions can take place online, by telephone, from my home practice or outdoors as walk & talk. For those who struggle to express themselves verbally, I offer wild water swimming therapy and EMDR-informed creative therapy, a non-talk approach to processing and rebuilding.

Becoming a counsellor was born out of my experiences as a mum, a lecturer, and someone who has faced sudden loss and my own mental health journey. These experiences have given me deep empathy and understanding of what it means to struggle and rebuild. Combined with 25 years in education, I bring both professional insight and lived experience to my counselling practice.

If you are considering counselling, I will meet you where you are, without judgement, and work alongside you as you reflect, process, and rebuild.

Practice description

I offer an initial 20–30 minute telephone conversation, free of charge, where we can talk about what has brought you to counselling and explore whether I may be the right person to support you. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. If we decide to go ahead I offer up to 50-minute counselling sessions designed to give you time and space that is completely yours. I provide both short and long-term therapy and we can discuss the planned duration and couselling contract together during our initial session.

We will review your progress at every fourth session.

I charge a fee of £70 per 50 minute session. I charge a reduced fee to clients who are claiming benefit or students. Please note that this must be agreed prior to our first session, and require proof. All payments are made in full at the time of booking. A full refund when giving 48 hours notice or more of cancellation.

*48 Hour Cancellation Policy otherwise session charged at full rate.

Each session is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and work through what feels most important to you, without judgement or expectation. Some people use this time to talk freely, others prefer a more structured focus, and some choose creative or non-talk approaches, we will shape the sessions together in ways that meet your needs. Whatever format you choose, my commitment is to create a compassionate and confidential space where you feel supported, allowing sessions to evolve over time as your needs change.

Clients often describe my style as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. You can expect me to listen with care, to respect your pace, and to collaborate with you in finding ways forward that feel meaningful. Whether you are facing change, loss, displacement, or simply a time of need, my aim is to work alongside you as you reflect, process, and rebuild.

My first session

I offer an initial 20–30 minute telephone conversation, free of charge, where we can talk about what has brought you to counselling and explore whether I may be the right person to support you. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work.

If we decide to go ahead, our first full session will include a more detailed assessment, where we look at your needs and hopes for counselling in greater depth. We will also go through the counselling contract together, which sets out confidentiality, boundaries, and what you can expect from me, so that you feel safe and informed as we begin working together. I will ask you to sign the agreement to show that you understand its contents.
