Availability

I am available on Fridays for face to face or online EMDR work with adults and young people.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully trained EMDR (eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing) therapist qualified to work with adults as well as children and young people. I am a qualified member of EMDR UK/Europe and while working towards accreditation, I am offering low cost time-limited EMDR sessions for adults and young people suffering from single incident/s of trauma.

I am also a Tavistock trained psychodynamic psychotherapist working with children and young people. I am accredited with the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and TSP (Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists), having achieved distinction for my Masters qualification. I am also a registered member of the MÂ鶹ԭ´´.

From Monday to Thursday, I am employed by West London Action for Children, a London charity, where I provide EMDR therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy to families on low income.

Practice description

I am looking to work on a time limited basis with adults and young people of any age, gender, ethnicity and culture who have experienced a particularly difficult event in the recent or distant past which they feel is still affecting them in the present. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please feel free to email me and we can arrange for an informal initial 30 minute chat by phone.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute initial conversation by phone to help you decide whether EMDR therapy may be suitable for you at this time.

This would then be followed by one or two 50 minute consultations before preparing a bespoke treatment plan aimed at helping you healthily process the overwhelming event/s of the past to help you start to cope with and enjoy more aspects of the present so you can begin to look forward to the future.

The number of sessions can vary depending on the nature of the incident/s so we would review the therapy after 12 sessions.

Sessions usually last for 50-55 minutes unless discussed in advance.
