About me and my therapy practice

Hi! I鈥檓 Melanie and I鈥檓 glad you鈥檙e here.

Reaching out for help is a big step and you don鈥檛 have to struggle alone.

You may look like you鈥檙e coping on the outside but inside feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, like there鈥檚 no space for you. You may be used to holding everything together for others while struggling yourself. Maybe you鈥檙e constantly overthinking, overanalysing, or trying to get things 鈥渞ight,鈥 but still feel exhausted and stuck. I鈥檓 Melanie, a therapist (plus mum, sister, daughter, wife) passionate about helping individuals work towards their best self. I bring over 10 years鈥 experience supporting adults, adolescents and children using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and (when developmentally appropriate) play-based approaches. In our work together, we鈥檒l slow down and make sense of what鈥檚 going on beneath the surface so you can feel calmer, clearer, and like yourself again.

I specialise in working with anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and transitions across the lifespan. With children and teens, I incorporate developmentally appropriate and play-based approaches while supporting caregivers. My clients often describe me as warm, genuine, and gently challenging.

If you鈥檙e feeling stuck and ready for thoughtful, meaningful support, I would love to hear from you.

Practice description

I am a 麻豆原创 Accredited therapist with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling and an LPC in Virginia, USA. I have over 10 years' experience supporting adults, adolescents and children using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and (when developmentally appropriate) play-based approaches.

I have over a decade of experience supporting adults, adolescents, and children experiencing anxiety, burnout, low mood, life transitions, and emotional challenges. Treatment focuses on understanding patterns, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful change so you can move forward with greater confidence and resilience.

While trained in multiple modalities, I tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I work from a trauma-informed and culturally responsive perspective, incorporating practical tools and goal-focused strategies. My style is warm, direct, and engaged, supporting both meaningful insight and lasting change.
