About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Carla. Making the decision to come to counselling can be hard and feel daunting. Everyone鈥檚 experiences and challenges are unique and it鈥檚 important that you find the counsellor who is the right fit for you.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor based in Alcester in Warwickshire. I can help you to explore personal and relational issues in safety, without judgement or pressure, but empathetically and congruently. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can feel fully heard.

I work with adults of all ages, but from my own life experiences I am drawn to older adults. I work as a volunteer counsellor for Age UK, providing counselling to individuals aged 65 years and over. This is a role I love and one which has furnished me with a wealth of experience in a diverse range of presenting issues. Life at any age can be challenging. During my training and in my role at Age UK I have considered this dedicated safe space to be heard, as something that many of us feel is lacking in our lives.

My approach is led by the client and at its heart is empathy, non-judgement and a commitment to enable you to feel supported at your own pace.

Practice description

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (麻豆原创) and follow its code of ethics and practice, this includes regular supervision and ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development). I have a DBS certificate and am fully insured.

I currently run a private practice alongside my work with Age UK and offer counselling online, via Google Meet, or over the telephone. There may also be the possibility of home visits in the local area.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute initial call, this could be over the phone or on-line, whichever works best for you. This introductory call enables us to introduce ourselves and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. It allows the opportunity to see how best we can work together.
