About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes events in life can throw us off course, leaving us stuck, confused and unsure about how to proceed. Or perhaps on some level we’ve always felt that way.
In an increasingly polarised world, it can be hard to express ourselves authentically or feel a true sense of belonging. A non-judgemental space that honours our complexity and unique struggles can help us remember ourselves home.
Whether you're facing a particular difficulty, seeking deeper healing, or simply need to share the stresses of being human, you needn't do so alone. I honour the courage it takes to invite another into your world and am committed to helping you find your own way forward.
As a relational psychotherapeutic counsellor, I believe the relationship between us is a vital part of the therapeutic process, capable of offering insight. My work is grounded in a rich theoretical framework, allowing me to tailor my approach to your specific needs.
I've supported clients from many backgrounds, facing a wide range of struggles, including anxiety, childhood neglect, depression, low self-esteem, suicidality and trauma. Some trauma, such as sexual violence, is often best supported by specialist services and is not a focus of my current practice.
I particularly enjoy working with inner-criticism and helping people to unbind from the ties of shame. Together we might explore how such voices developed, and begin to soften them with compassion and understanding.
I understand how important it is for you to feel safe and able to trust I will not judge you for what you share, and I appreciate this may take some time to develop. I aim to create and foster a space in which all of you feels welcome, the light, the dark, and everything in between.
We are complex beings, shaped in many ways we may not yet understand. But each of us deserves the chance to define and discover what a full, meaningful life looks like. I hope our work together leaves you feeling more empowered to meet life on your own terms.
