About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Catherine, a fully qualified counsellor registered with the Â鶹Դ´. In my work I seek to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where my clients feel they bring their full selves to explore whatever life challenges they may be facing.
I work with a variety of different clients with challenges ranging from stress, depression and anxiety to sexual abuse and childhood trauma. Since everyone and our experiences are unique I believe there is no one way to work with my clients. Instead I take an integrative approach using a number of different counselling tools and techniques that I feel will work best with whatever you bring to our sessions together.
The work together is centred whole-heartedly on you and your needs since no two situations or experience of them are ever the same.
Beyond my counselling practice I have of 20 years in the corporate world coaching and developing both individuals and teams through organisational transformation and change. Through that work I have gained a deep appreciation of the impact of change at work and the impact redundancy and retraining (Including my own) has on our lives and sense of self.
I am also a Counselling Tutor, teaching integrative counselling skills to the next generation of counsellors.
In my work with individuals I draw on all of these experiences, along with my passion for helping others to realise their full potential, to support my clients in their own journeys in becoming closer to and more confident in themselves so they can live full lives, doing what matters most to them.
If you feel I would be able to help you and want to understand a bit more then please drop me an email or call to arrange an initial 30 minute introduction session.

About me and my therapy practice
I'm an Integrative counsellor and supervisor with a passion for helping people live to their fullest capacity. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to listen and support you through your challenges.
I also have my own agency and am a CPCAB registered Tutor training counsellors studying for their Level 4 diplomas.
I have worked with a variety of clients throughout my counselling career, from executives to young people, all who tend to be suffering with anxiety and depression, attachment issues, long-term illness or complex trauma.
During my placement, I worked in CYP in a charity working with those who had suffered sexual abuse, which began a journey to really understand and hone skills working with complex trauma.
From then, I began private practice and Tutoring which has added depth and breadth to my work and allowed me to bring in some of my corporate skills in managing large teams through complex change.
Whilst my foundational training was in Person Centred, integrated with Psychodynamic, experience both professionally and personally has taught me the importance of integrating other modalities, especially somatic work, when it comes to trauma recovery and anxiety. This led me to develop an agency that serves clients in an integrated manner and pass on what I have learned to both students and a wider community of wellbeing therapists and counsellors.
Practice description
I am an integrative supervisor who recognises and values each supervisee’s unique therapeutic style. My role is to support you in honing your strengths, deepening your clinical thinking, and building confidence in your professional identity.
I draw on both the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) and the 7-Eyed Model of Supervision. I find that integrating these frameworks provides both structure and depth — supporting progression and developmental awareness while also attending to relational process, client dynamics, and the wider systemic context. This is particularly valuable in private practice, where opportunities for developmental framing and reflective dialogue can sometimes feel limited.
Our sessions (monthly or bi-weekly) are shaped around what you bring. Alongside case discussion, we may explore process, attachment dynamics, parallel process, ethical considerations, and the impact of trauma on both client and therapist. Given my background in trauma work, I also integrate somatic awareness where appropriate, particularly when working with anxiety and complex presentations.
I adapt my supervisory style according to your level of experience and professional needs. With trainees, this may include more structure and skill development; with experienced practitioners, the focus may be on refinement, depth, and sustaining long-term practice. I aim to balance support with appropriate challenge — offering encouragement, curiosity and professional rigour in equal measure.
Supervision with me is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in ethical accountability. My intention is that you leave sessions feeling clearer, more confident, and better resourced in your work.
My first session
Choosing a supervisor is an important step, and feeling the right fit matters. I therefore offer a free 30-minute introductory call before we begin. This gives us space to connect, explore what you’re looking for from supervision, and see whether working together feels comfortable and aligned.
In our first full session, we’ll gently begin shaping our work together. We’ll agree a supervision contract that covers practical and ethical aspects such as frequency, confidentiality and its limits, record keeping, and professional responsibilities. I aim to approach contracting as a collaborative conversation rather than a formality — creating clarity and shared understanding from the outset.
We will also explore your individual needs, current caseload, developmental stage, and any areas you would like support with. Whether you’re in training, newly qualified, or an experienced practitioner, supervision should feel tailored to you — supporting both your clinical work and your growth as a therapist.
My hope is that from the very beginning you experience supervision as a safe, reflective space where you can bring your work openly — including uncertainties, questions, and achievements — knowing they will be met with curiosity, respect and care.
