About me and my therapy practice

Life is sometimes hard and it can often feel overwhelming trying to navigate our way through the difficult times alone. At times like these we may find ourselves searching beyond friends and family for support, looking for a space where we can be ourselves and have the freedom to speak aloud and express ourselves without fear of judgement or opinion.

My aim is to create that environment where you can truly be yourself. To understand your perspective and the challenges you face and support you in working through these challenges. Helping you to understand and explore different ways of thinking and being to create positive and lasting change in your life.

I am an experienced, qualified and compassionate psychotherapist and a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Â鶹ԭ´´. I work therapeutically with adults, couples and children in various settings.

I offer a range of modalities within my work and my style of working is integrative and collaborative which allows me to tailor my approach to each individual client, combining elements of different therapies depending on the clients needs. I do believe that a good relationship between the therapist and their client is fundamental and is the foundation of a positive therapeutic experience.

I have worked with many of the challenges that life presents us with. That may be anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, divorce, loss or bereavement to name just a few. The list of life's challenges is long and as individuals we are all different...one persons struggle may not be another's.

Practice description

I understand that it takes courage taking those first steps into seeking therapy and searching through the directory can feel daunting. Having that initial call with a few therapists you like the sound and look of can help you decide and gives you an idea and a feeling of who you would work well with.

I offer an initial 20 minute telephone call, which helps me gain a better understanding of why you are seeking therapy. You may also have questions you would like to ask. Most importantly it is an opportunity for us both to assess whether we feel we could work well together. We would then go ahead and book our first session.

I offer both long and short term therapy depending on your individual needs. We will discuss and regularly review your requirements to ensure that we are working towards your goals.

What I can help with

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Loss, Menopause, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Stress, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Work related issues
