About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm an experienced trauma therapist working with adults who are struggling with the impact of difficult life experiences, both past and present.
I specialise in complex trauma, childhood trauma, abuse, anxiety, and depression. Many of the people I work with experience symptoms such as flashbacks, dissociation, intrusive thoughts, body memories, emotional overwhelm, or a persistent sense that something doesn't feel quite right. Trauma can affect every aspect of life, including relationships, self-esteem, work, and overall wellbeing, often long after the original events have passed.
I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting, especially when trust has been affected by past experiences. My aim is to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported at your own pace. Together, we can explore the difficulties you are facing, make sense of your experiences, and work towards healing and lasting change.
Alongside trauma work, I support clients experiencing relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, addiction, grief and loss, workplace stress, burnout, and life transitions. I also have extensive experience providing workplace and student counselling, helping people manage the pressures and challenges that can arise in professional and academic settings.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I believe that healing is possible, and that therapy can help you reconnect with your strengths, develop greater self-understanding, and build a more fulfilling life.
I offer sessions in person and online, with appointments available on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
If you would like to arrange an initial conversation or find out more, please get in touch.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs. I recognise that every person's experiences, challenges, and strengths are unique, which is why I tailor therapy to suit you as an individual. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to find what feels most helpful and meaningful for your situation.
Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings, and relationships with curiosity and compassion. Together, we can make sense of patterns that may have developed over time, including coping strategies that once helped you manage difficult experiences but may no longer be serving you in the way you need.
Through this process, you can develop greater self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-compassion. My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, strengthen your emotional resilience, and create the opportunity for healing, growth, and lasting change.
My first session
An important part of this initial session is deciding whether we are a good fit to work together. Feeling safe, comfortable and able to talk openly with your therapist is an important foundation for effective therapy, and the first session gives us both the opportunity to see whether we feel comfortable working together.
If we decide to continue working together, we will agree on regular sessions.
As our work progresses, we will regularly check in about how you are experiencing therapy, whether it is supporting you in the ways you had hoped, and whether there is anything you would like to focus on differently as our work evolves.

About me and my therapy practice
I work primarily with adults affected by complex trauma, including the lasting impact of childhood experiences that were abusive, neglectful, emotionally harmful, or shaped by unsafe or unpredictable environments.
I also work with people facing a wide range of emotional and personal difficulties, including challenges in relationships, work, study and other areas of their lives.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate and trauma-informed, recognising that everyone brings their own history, needs and way of understanding themselves to therapy.
I believe it is important to understand difficulties within the context of your life and experiences, rather than seeing them as problems or symptoms to be addressed. What we think, feel and do often makes more sense when we begin to understand what has shaped us and the ways we have learned to cope, protect ourselves and relate to others.
For this reason, I do not work from a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can explore what is happening for you now while also considering how earlier experiences may be influencing the way you see yourself, your relationships and the situations you encounter.
This understanding can help us identify patterns that may once have been helpful but are now making life more difficult, and begin to consider what might feel different or more helpful for you.
Practice description
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, particularly if trust has been difficult or previous experiences have left you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure of yourself.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where we can begin to make sense of what is happening together.
I will not rush you or expect you to talk about things before you feel ready. We will work at a pace that feels manageable for you, recognising that trust develops over time and that every person's story is unique.
Together, we can explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, make sense of difficult or painful experiences, and develop a greater understanding of yourself and what you need.
My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you with curiosity, honesty and care, supporting you to find your own way forward and towards changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

About me and my therapy practice
At times, life can feel overwhelming, and it can be difficult to make sense of what you are thinking, feeling or experiencing.
Painful experiences and unresolved memories can affect how we see ourselves, relate to others and navigate everyday life. They can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck or unsure of how to move forward.

Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to face it alone.
I am an experienced trauma therapist specialising in complex trauma, childhood trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression. I also support clients experiencing relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, addiction and grief. I am also experienced in workplace and student counselling a
I have over 25 years experience working in business and charitable organisations and have a comprehensive understanding of the pressures that can lead people to burnout.
I offer sessions in person and online, with appointments available on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
