About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Tamsin, and I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor offering a warm, supportive space for children, young people, and adults. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I'm here to walk alongside you at your pace.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and change when met with empathy, acceptance, and understanding. I offer a non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings, build self-awareness, and make sense of your experiences.
I have experience working with a range of emotional and behavioural challenges and adapt my approach to meet each client’s unique needs—whether that’s through creative, play-based methods with children, a calm and compassionate space for teenagers, or supportive, reflective sessions with adults.
I offer both in-person and online sessions and am happy to talk through what would work best for you or your child. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial conversation.
Practice description
I have vast experience working with neurodiverse individuals and am passionate about providing a supportive, inclusive space for every client. My background includes working with Autism, ADHD, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), and ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), and I bring both professional and personal understanding of neurodiversity to my counselling work.
I hold a degree in Autism and Children, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´), working within their ethical framework. I am fully insured and committed to offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment for children, young people, and adults.
I offer counselling sessions online, via telephone, and face-to-face. If you prefer in-person sessions, I welcome you to a private and comfortable space in Letchworth. Before we begin working together, I offer a complimentary introductory call so we can have an informal chat, explore your needs, and see if I’m the right fit for you.
Please feel free to get in touch—I’d be happy to answer any questions or help you take the first step.
My first session
Before booking your first session, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone call. This gives us a chance to introduce ourselves, talk briefly about what brings you to counselling, and answer any questions you might have. There’s no pressure—just a chance to see if I’m the right fit for you.
In your first full session, we’ll explore what you’d like to gain from counselling and begin to get a sense of how we might work together. You’re welcome to go at your own pace—there’s no need to share anything before you’re ready.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can be held face-to-face in my private space in Letchworth, or online/over the phone, depending on your preference.
If you're seeking support for your child or a young person, I offer a short initial meeting with the parent/carer (if appropriate) to ensure we can provide the right support.
Please feel free to reach out to ask any questions or to arrange the initial call—I’d be happy to help.
