About me and my therapy practice

You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift, or weighed down by low mood, self-doubt, or behaviours that no longer feel helpful.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting - especially if you’re not used to talking about what’s going on - and it’s common to feel unsure about where to begin.

I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing.

My approach is person-centred, meaning our work is led by you and what feels most important in your life right now. I aim to help you better understand your thoughts and feelings, build self-confidence, and find ways forward that feel realistic and meaningful for you.

I specialise in working with adults and teenagers, particularly those experiencing anxiety, low mood, difficulties with self-worth, or challenges around addiction and coping behaviours.

Many of the people I work with have never accessed counselling before and may feel unsure or hesitant - I place great importance on helping you feel at ease and supported from the very first session.

I offer both in-person counselling in Chester and online sessions, allowing flexibility to fit therapy around your life. Sessions move at a pace that feels right for you, and my aim is to provide consistent, approachable support within a safe and confidential relationship.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, you’re very welcome to get in touch to ask any questions or to arrange an initial conversation.

Practice description

TQ Counselling Services is a private counselling practice based in Chester, offering thoughtful, accessible support to people facing emotional and personal challenges. My work is grounded in providing a safe, confidential space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of what’s been weighing on you.

I specialise in working with adults and teenagers, particularly those experiencing anxiety, low mood, difficulties with self-worth, addiction, or the ongoing impact of past experiences. Many of the people I work with feel under pressure to cope alone or struggle to put their feelings into words - therapy offers a space where this can be explored at your own pace.

My practice is calm, supportive, and non-judgemental. Sessions are shaped around what feels most important to you, whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure where to begin. I aim to offer counselling that feels approachable and down-to-earth, rather than intimidating or overly clinical.

I place strong value on consistency and reliability, working with you in a way that feels steady, respectful, and collaborative. Progress happens differently for everyone, so sessions move at a pace that feels manageable and right for you.

Many clients I work with have never accessed counselling before. If this is your first step, you can expect clear guidance, patience, and care throughout the process, helping you feel supported from the very first session.

I offer both in-person sessions in Chester and online counselling, providing flexibility to suit your needs.
